Tanjirou Kamado had always been a curious and compassionate soul. His journey as a Demon Slayer had been driven by his fierce desire to protect his sister Nezuko and to seek a cure for her demonic transformation. Along the way, he had heard whispers and rumors about a half-breed—a girl who was both demon and human. This girl intrigued him, not just because of what she was, but because of who she might be beneath the surface.

For a long time, Tanjirou had wanted to speak to her, to understand her experience and perhaps glean some insights that could help his sister. But the timing never seemed right. There were always battles to fight, missions to complete, and the weight of his own responsibilities.

Today, as he walked through the hallways of Shinobu's clinic, he finally saw her. She moved with a quiet grace, her expression thoughtful and focused. Tanjirou felt his heart race. This was his chance, but suddenly, words failed him. He wanted to ask her so much, not just about her demon genes or what it meant to be a half-breed, but about her life, her struggles, and her dreams.

Gathering his courage, he stepped forward and called out, "Hey, um, excuse me!" His voice sounded awkwardly loud in the hushed clinic, and he winced inwardly.

The half-breed girl turned to him, her eyes curious and perhaps a little wary. Tanjirou saw the hint of pain in her gaze, a pain he recognized all too well—the pain of being seen only for what you are, not who you are.

"I—I'm Tanjirou Kamado," he began, stumbling over his words. "I, um, I've been wanting to talk to you for a while now. About... well, about a lot of things."

She tilted her head slightly, her expression softening just a bit. "Tanjirou," she repeated, nodding. "I know who you are. You're the one with the sister, right? The demon girl."

Tanjirou nodded eagerly. "Yes, that's right. Nezuko. She's my sister. But, I don't want to talk to you just because of that." He took a deep breath, trying to organize his thoughts. "I want to know more about you. About your experiences, your thoughts, and feelings. I can't imagine what it's been like for you, being caught between two worlds."
