POV Sonic

I was exhausted from yesterday, mentally exhausted. I looked around my room, my apartment room, surprisingly lonely and quiet. Which is perfect right now. I checked my phone, a message from Knuckles.

KNUX
Have you made him smileeee???? Those 50 bucks are on the line...☺️

Sonic
Holy shit I completely forgot about that.
What is it?
Day 6?

KNUX
Day 7
3 more days......

Sonic
C'mon!
💔

———————

To make him smile, I need to know about him.
But I already know the big stuff, he wasn't allowed to let's say laugh, he doesn't remember his childhood, he's always very closeted and he's an orphan...
...
Signs of trauma, I researched on my phone, looks like those psychology classes at school are paying off.

Alert, avoidant, well...those two out of many are fitting.
...
An alarm then rang in my phone.

Time for school.

First period, math. The joy of my day. Whoever made my schedule, there's a special place in my heart for people I dislike. I liked math when it didn't have LETTERS!!!

The teacher, Mrs. Robinhood asked us to do a worksheet and to pair up or do it by yourself; I have no friends in this class so I decided to stay alone.

Some girls then decided to speak pretty loudly next to me, which for me, is an invitation to budge into their conversation.

"You know that loner? The guy who always has headphones on in the cafeteria." They said as they pretended to whisper, locking eyes and then looking around to see if anyone heard. "Yeah, what about him?" The girl squinted her eyes, awaiting her reply. "He's kinda cute." Her jaw dropped, almost in disbelief, she purposely gagged and laughed. "You're kidding. Him?? Girl he's weird, like, freak weird, I heard he's like super mean and that he came from space."

"Space? How does that even make sense?" She asked while the other rolled her eyes. "I don't know, I just know that in Elementary he would come and leave so often. That's suspicious, be careful who you like girl. He could actually be insane."

"You're right."
...
Freak?...Insane!?...

"If you don't understand his situation, you have no right to judge him. Knock it off." They looked at me as if they hadn't even seen me when they entered the class. "Mind your business soccer guy." She gave me a look of disgust, the look every mean person makes when they're confronted about their mean behavior. "You made your conversation loud enough for the whole class to hear. You made your business ours." I smiled sweetly to mock her. She rolled her eyes and scoffed. "Why are you even friends with him, he's a freak."

"Are you serious right now? Didn't you hear what I said? Man! Why do you let what you think of him, define him? You don't know him, so why do you think so damn badly of him?" The girls stayed silent giving each other parted looks clearly wanting me to shut up, but I wasn't having it. "He's not a freak, you're weird for being so quick to judge. You're so immature." I furrowed my brows and crossed my arms while I stared at the teacher who stared at us.

"Sonic, Avery and Lisa, Please step outside." Mrs. Robinhood stood in front of the doorway and watched us walk out of her classroom. "You're disrupting my class, I am disappointed." We all stood silently next to each other. But with the way they were looking at me, I swear, they were insulting me with their eyes. "Can I explain what happened?" I asked, I know I didn't do anything wrong, so I was confident in what I had to say. She nodded and asked the two girls to shush.
