"Losing him was blue, like I'd never known
Missing him was dark gray, all alone
Forgetting him was like trying to know
Somebody you never met"
-Taylor Swift, RedThese internal frostbites of nameless aches I held for so long in my heart,
I finally start to open it up to you.
Little by little,
just like tiny baby steps,
you etch into my heart slowly for the first time,
trying out symbols before letters,
and then letters before words,
then words to sentences,
before I know,
you had written the most beautiful sonnet in the walls of my heart,
etched in warmth,
which my heart was finally basking in.
So now, I thank you,
for creating a miniature furnace in my heart as our sacred oasis.
