It was Valentine's day, the day where everyone got to go out with their date and do couple stuff. Minji hated Valentine's.
Minji was born into a wealthy family. She was offered the most extravagant birthday parties, luxurious vacations, all of her meals were served on golden plates. Although she was given the most expensive pieces, she felt lonely and unhappy. Her parents were nice and caring people but were constantly away on business trips, causing Minji to become independent.
As Minji became older, she dated a lot of people. She wanted someone to love her, she wanted someone to fill in the absent roles of her parents and care for her. However, she had always gotten her heart broken with each relationship. She would catch her partners cheating on her, making out with other people on Valentines, at her own party. Which they would then reveal that they were using her for popularity and money.
Minji began to lose faith in love, all she ever wanted was for someone to like her for who she was, not for her family's status. She had stopped dating two years ago, afraid that history will repeat itself and she would end up dead, alone, and heart broken once again.
Minji's only true friend was Danielle. They had been friends since elementary. Danielle's parents weren't good people, but they weren't evil either. They neglected her throughout her life which caused Danielle to become the sweet girl she is now, she believes that everyone deserves love— unless they did something horrible.
