"To all the things I've lost on you. Tell me are they lost on you?"

New York City, 2016

(Lost On You, LP)

...

"C'mon man if you're gonna bust your ass to fight me, pick a better signature move," Lucia scoffed, spitting out blood to the left. She flexed her hands behind the metal chair she was tied to and stared up at the man. The vision of him was half obscured by the bright fluorescent and the slight clouding of her vision.

Lucia hadn't been sleeping, and she knew she should have declined this mission, but she had never refused before. Not because this was going to be particularly taxing, but because she should have been resting. Like her Mother had told her. She could hear a phone ringing from the man's pocket in front of her, the shrill sound piercing the air in between them.

Ring. Ring.

"Are you going to answer that? It could be your wife wondering if you're going to be back in time for dinner..." Lucia tutted, shaking her head mockingly.

He rolled his eyes, spitting out misogynistic bullshit in Russian before he pressed the device to his ear. Within a second, he thrust the phone towards her, confused, she tucked it in between her jaw and shoulder.

"Your husband is being naughty at work again," she taunted, exhaustion hitting her like a ton of bricks. "Who are you and what do you want?"

"A hello wouldn't hurt Miss Stark. I hope this isn't a bad time, you sound out of breath," Fury retorted, "Everything going okay?"

Lucia smiled, "Oh it's you. I'm just a little tied up here. Why, what do you need from me?"

"Are you tied to a chair or something? The audio's muffled. Seriously, I thought I told you to get in and out of there, can't you just blast them away and be done?" Fury wined down the line, she made eye contact with the man above her. He clearly thought he had the upper hand, and Lucia grimaced as he grinned grossly down at her. The woman who unknowingly had already removed the ropes from her wrists minutes ago.

"I wanted you back at HQ. Like an hour ago," the Director trailed off, "Use a taser, knock them out I don't care, just get back here. It's important."

She sighed as the arms dealer in front of her tapped his wrist impatiently.

"The world just got a lot harder for us all to keep safe. Coulson finally figured out what that shitstorm over in New Mexico was, said that there's an Asgardian amongst us."

"An Asgardian? What the hell is that?"

"He comes from Asgard. His name is Thor, and he calls himself a God." Fury sighed, and she could picture his expression. "Enough about mythology, get your ass over here."

Lucia nodded, sparing a glance back at the clock on the far left wall. "Fine. Tell my Dad I'll be there in 20."

She lifted her eyes back to him once more, letting the phone clatter to the floor. The dealer gave her a disgusted look as he bent down beside her to pick it up. Lucia nearly laughed at his stupidity, and in an instance, she had her legs wrapped around his torso and neck, flipping the chair over the both of them.

As the metal flew across the open concrete landing of the downtown warehouse, she then had both of them on the floor. He barely had time to look up before she heard the crack of his neck, he wasn't dead just unconscious. Waiting a few seconds to be sure, she let her head fall to the ground beside her. Her new strength still astounded her at times, the way her body and muscles had changed and grown in almost a year. It felt like armour.
