I was addicted to three things.
Cigarettes, hockey and Jessica.
I love her and I couldn't imagine how I got through life without her. I burn for her and I'd kill for her if I must. Although she is like a thunderstorm she is my sunshine, my ray of hope and laughter.
Jessica is my all.
And I sit here in bed with her in between my arms laughing at whatever nonsense she has to say just to past time. But it's times like this where I want the time to stop just so we could be in this moment.
"Say it again" I asked her with a smile on my lips "say you love me" she faced her head towards me with her eyelashes batting itself at me "I love you Michael Wolston so much" she whispered before kissing my lips and I couldn't have been even happier to kiss back.
We sat like this for almost the whole morning just laughing and making small talk that it almost made me forget abt the thought we'd soon be done with.
Me and Jessica had only a few weeks before I'd turn twenty-one and then me and her would be over.
Well that's what my father thinks.
I decided that I'd come clean to my father and say that me and Jessica will be dating for a long time and I'd love for her to support me during my time as CEO.
"You turning twenty-one in a weeks time..." She didn't sound so happy about that almost sad "well to bad for you because we not getting rid of each other you staying for as long as you can" I mumbled and she smiled realising that me and her will never part.
I mean c'mon we just got together.
"Jessica angel?"
"Yes Michael?" She sat up fully lifting her leg up to place it over my leg that way she was straddling my waist.
"Why do you want to run a business?"
I've never asked her that before and the thought of it only raised my interest now.
She went quiet and sat there almost tensed debating whether to tell me or not, that was until she sighed.
"Growing up as the eldest daughter you'd think my father would cherish and love me more right? Well that was the complete opposite" she mumbled "I thought that if I maybe had the interest of a boy my father would acknowledge me more"
"I thought that if I acted and thought like a boy he'd see me as an equal that's why I've always been interested in business and nothing else" she let out a deep breath almost as if she's been holding it in for awhile.
"So you only doing business to earn respect from your father?" I tried to understand but to me that's what it sounded like. She shook her head with a small frown on her face before protesting "no no, in the beginning I did but as years went on I've come to terms that I actually did enjoy business and I've always been interested in it but of course I'd never be appreciated for it"
