My captain.

End of the season

As May rolled round, arsenal were first in the league. Winning pretty much every game. We built a strong formation on the pitch and new training techniques allowed us to create new opportunities for goals.

We were solidly top of the league with no chance of other teams catching up to us.

Our final game of the season was against City again but away.

I felt anxious, i didn't know how to expect the away supporters to be. City aren't doing so well this season, and are placing 6th. Not the best of seasons for them

As we arrived at the away pitch, early arsenal fans waited outside where our coach arrives.

Leah and i step out hand in hand as i hear supporters calling us over
"sienna please can we have a picture!" a young girl says smiling
I run over and stand next to the girl who proceeded to take a selfie. She beams at me with pride as she turns  towards her mother and jumps up and down. A few signatures later i look down and see a little boy in a pushchair eating a snack
"lucas!" i say. i look up and see gemma ans my mum stood there beaming with pride both wearing arsenal shirts with BRIGHTON  and number 16 on the back
I jump over the barricade and hug them tightly.
"i'm so happy you're here!" I hug them both

My sister and mum rarely came to an away game as it was far to travel. especially with a 3 year old toddler.

"come here you!"i say picking up luca.
"we can't wait to see you play" mum says smiling
"try and score a goal again please" gemma says sarcastically
I laugh knowing i'm the top scorer in the WSL yet again, with 27 goals.

"actually can i take luca with me to show him the stadium?" i ask gemma
"of course you can. actually before you go can i have a picture of you two" gemma says

i hold lucas as he kisses my cheek
"smile!" gemma says taking a picture

I see Jonas walk over holding a cup of coffee
"who's this monkey" he says to lucas
"hee my little nephew! jonas this is my mum and my sister" jonas shakes hands with them both proceeding to say
"it's lovely to meet the family of my superstar signing" He pats my back
"actually jonas could i take lucas inside with us to the dressing room? he won't be a hassle it's just-"
"you don't have to ask! of course he can! he can walk out on the pitch with you and when the game starts, i'll walk him up to the box you both are seated in" he points to mum and gem

I grab lucas hand as jonas walks away
"is that who i think it is!" leah says running over to lucas
"leah!" he shouts and cuddles her
"he's coming in with us" i nod towards the entrance to the ground
"are you coming in the big stadium!" leah asks lucas
"i come too" he acts shocked
"actually we better get going. say goodbye to mummy and granny" i say to lucas as he blows them a kiss goodbye.

Me and lucas walk hand in hand as leah walks in with Mccabe.
"she's a keeper you know" katie nods towards me "especially with the kids"
"yeah. i couldn't ask for anyone better " leah smiles

Lucas charms the rest of the team and kicks the ball with Russo before our debrief .

During the debrief he sits on leah's lap eating a chocolate biscuit to keep him entertained . As the debrief finishes, it's time to warm up.

Jonas offers to take lucas and show him the inside of the stadium .

All warmed up and ready to go we head back inside for kick off. i see lucas walking round the room wearing someone's boots

"lucas where did you get them" i say as i walk towards him. He runs away, not wanting to be caught giggling as i get closer to him. Suddenly leah playfully picks him up and throws him over her shoulder
"i've got him! let's tickle" me and leah tickle his back as he screams with laughter.

We put him down as i take off my training bib and put on my shirt, lucas out the corner of my eye starts dancing to music with Russo in the corner, as he shows her what dance move he wants to do
"sienna do you want kids?" leah asks me
"you know i do babe" i smile
"look, i'd love to." she nods towards lucas "imagine our own little ones. not now obviously " she adds on laughing
"definitely not now! i think i've got a few amazing seasons left in me before i turn to motherhood" I add as i watch her beam
"so it's a yes?" leah asks excitedly
"a major yes" i say
She claps her hands and shouts "LETS WIN THIS GIRLS!"

As we walk out into the tunnel i hold lucas sticky hand covered in chocolate. He smiles at me as i pick him up and carry him out

"lucas?" i turn around in the tunnel and see my former teammate kelly smiling at him
"haven't you grown up" she says as she ruffles his hair
"hi chlo" i say smiling
"no hard feelings about today yeah?" Greenwood shouts over to me
"yeah we know all your tricks by now"' hemp adds and laughs
"i've got a few more surprises" i add as the both  teams laugh.

As we walk out onto the pitch lucas claps his hands along with the fans. No boos from the man city fans. just cheers and whistles from both teams.

I set lucas down on the floor as we shake hands with the other players. All the city girls shaking lucas' hand too as he jumps up and down.
As Hemp walks up to me, she hugs me gently instead as we share a smile. Best friends on a team to now friends in different clubs. I smile as lucas runs off the pitch to Jonas. He stumbles on the grass and falls, the crowd go silent and when he stands up and starts running again all the crowd cheer and laugh.

I walk towards the ball for our kick off and the game begins.

As full time drew to a 3-2 win to arsenal i claim the matchball thanks to an amazing hattrick.

Not only that, the fans erupt with cheers as it's now time for arsenal to be crowned winners of the league.

As we all receive medals leah kisses me on the forehead "we did it!" she shouts.
We all walk up to the podium to cheer with the Trophy when i see two little legs running from jonas arms. The girls giggle and aww as he runs up to me. I pick him up in my arms and lift him up on my shoulders. Leah lofts the trophy as we all jumó up and down. lucas belly laughing as he bobs up and down on my shoulders.

Leah runs towards our fans with the trophy as they all scream and cheer with joy. Lucas climbs out my arms and runs to leah who lets him hold the trophy with his help. I stand behind him
"fank you auntie " he says to leah
leah looks at me shoxked but smiles, not correcting his saying.
"let's lift it and cheer. ready? 3... 2.... 1!" with hee help they both lift up the trophy together as the girls behind cheer and woop even louder.
