ᴜɴᴄᴏᴠᴇʀᴇᴅ | ꜱᴀɴᴛᴀɴᴀ ʟᴏᴘᴇᴢ

𝐎𝐧𝐞, 𝐀𝐮𝐝𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧

Clutching her brothers arm tightly, the twins walked into school, both pale and clearly slimmer. Madeleine's head starts to ring as she heards JBI's whiny voice. But her heart skips a beat when she finally sees the girl she has been dying to see all summer. She hadn't noticed her back as she was attempting to squat JBI's camera away from her chest.

"Madeleine Parker- rumours were spread that you had fled the country after your loss at Regionals- can you confirm or deny."

He points the microphone in her face.
Madeleine sees Santana's head whip up and her eyes widen in shock.
Santana stared at the girl, she shivered when she noticed how slim and tired she looked- what the fuck happened that summer? Thomas didn't look any better, his eyes were drooping and he looked spaced off. Santana grabs the girl and pulls her into the janitors closet. Madeleine refuses to make any sort of eye-contact.

"Madeleine- what the fuck, I don't hear from you all summer and you just rock up here?"
Santana's yells stop when she gets a close up look of the girl.

"What happened... please talk to me."
She says softly, her hand moving up to touch her face but Madeleine squirms at the movement and backs up into the wall.

"I went on vacation with my family."

Her voice rasps as she dodges out of the room, she kept her head down and walked straight into a taller guy, she looked up and signed in relief.

"Mike-" She breathed out.

"Maddie! You good? We should catch up."
He says softly.
He gets dragged away quickly and Tina Cohen-Chang shoots her a threatening look.

"All this negative stuff from JBI's posts is keeping others from auditioning."
Schue says as the group sat in the choir room for the first time this summer. The twins in the back corner not speaking but holding hands.

"Why would we want more members?" Tina asks.

"Well since Matt transferred we've been low on numbers. If we wanna go to nationals we need to expand. Nationals are in New York this year and we are going! Lets show the school how cool we can be."

(Madeleine joins in with the Unholy Trinity)

Madeleine hadn't sang all summer, it brought her back to last year and she remembered how much she enjoyed this. The performance convinced herself not to quit like she was deeply considering.

Madeleine spotted Quinn strutting down the hallway in her Cheerio's uniform. Madeleine may still be wearing her uniform but she lost all her love for the sport, she is snapped out of her thoughts when Santana comes out of nowhere and throws Quinn into the lockers.

"You did this to me you told Coach Sylvester about my summer surgery!"
She spits.

"You have a surgery when you get your appendix out, you.got.a.boob.job."
Quinn yells.

Santana slaps her in the face, Madeleine lets her get a few shoves in between eventually interfering and grabbing Santana by the waist from behind. The girl squirms and kicks until she realises who is holding her back and her body relaxes slightly.
Schue grabs hold of Quinn.

"What is this what happened to us being a family?" He shouts over the commotion.

"Ohh she has a family she's a mother."
Santana mocks.

"Walk away! And tighten up your ponytail before you get to class."
Quinn shouts.

Santana slips out of Madeleine's grasp and does exactly that.

Nobody showed up to audition and Schue finds out why a girl called Sunshine didn't show up.

"Tell me it isn't true Rachel!"

He snaps staring down at the girl.

"I didn't send her to an active crack house."
She admits.

Madeleine exchanges a look with Thomas who was emotionless.

"It's because she's an ambitious freak who will do anything to hold onto her power."
Tina states.

"I love you guys so much- I don't want new members to mess our group dymnamic."
Rachel stammers.

"Make this right Rachel."
Schue orders.

Everyone meets in the Auditorium to hear the girl sings.

Everyone cheers for Sunshine except for Rachel who glared at her.

"Wow! Welcome to Glee Club!"
Schue annouces.

As Madeleine was walking out of school with Thomas, she looks up from the ground to see the new coach of Vocal Adrenaline clearing out her locker and transfering her to Carmel High. Maybe the Madeleine last year would've been upset or even annoyed but all she could think about was having to go back home- the hardest thing today was getting through school without breaking down into Santana's arms begging her to take her back to her home and protect her.
She had to stay strong for Isabel. That was her only goal.
