Chapter 9: Class

First day at their new high school for Daniel and Miyuki. Sarah was with them. It looked like a normal school, except that it wasn't the cleanest.

Daniel: I expected worse.

Miyuki: According to the documents, this place should be terrible.

Sarah: Well, yeah, it looks pretty average at first, but you'll have to wait and see.

They entered the school...It was chaos in the school because of the students. They were loud and some were even beating up the weaker ones at the time. Teachers couldn't do much about the situation either.

Daniel: Wow! *sarcasm*

Sarah: Well, this high school is really bad because the school gets very little funding from the government. It's because the teachers are not well skilled, they don't get paid much, so the students don't get a decent education, and maybe if 1% of the students get into a university, which is probably not an elite university, but it's not a sure thing that anyone will graduate.

Daniel: It's clear. Our master gave us a hard lesson. Right Miyuki?

Miyuki: Well, yeah.

They both said enthusiastically.

Miyuki: If this school isn't considered good, then how come there are so many people in this school?

Sarah: Our high school is also cheaper than the average high school, and it's in a poorer neighborhood.

Miyuki: No more questions.

The bell rang and the first lesson began. Daniel and Miyuki were introduced to their new class. Then the first class started. At break, Daniel, Miyuki and Sarah chatted, and then all three watched as a big guy and his gang bullied and beat up a much weaker classmate because he thought he had "too much" pocket money.

Sarah: That big guy over there, that's Derek. You'd better stay away from him; he bullies everyone in school and even hurts the weak ones. And worst of all, he's, our classmate.

Daniel sighs and spoke.

Daniel: I guess we should get rid of that problem.

Then he steps up to Derek.

Daniel: Sorry buddy, can you do something for me? can you leave this innocent student alone?

Derek replied threateningly.

Derek: Are you the new kid?! Daniel, right?! But I see you have no idea who I am.

Daniel: Yeah, I know who you are. You're a douche bag who only hurts the weak!
