The following weekend, they decided to host a small housewarming party for their friends. It was a chance to show off their new home and celebrate their fresh start.

They spent the morning preparing, cooking up a storm and decorating the house. By the time their friends started arriving, the place looked festive and welcoming.

Rohit, Virat, Hardik, Shreyas, Jassi, and Siraj were among the first to arrive, bringing their usual energy and enthusiasm. They greeted Shubman and Ishan with hugs and compliments on the house.

"This place is amazing!" Virat exclaimed, looking around. "You guys did a great job."

"Thanks," Shubman said, smiling. "It’s been a lot of work, but it's worth it."

The evening was filled with laughter and good food, everyone enjoying the relaxed atmosphere. They played games, shared stories, and toasted to new beginnings. At one point, Ishan pulled Shubman aside, his eyes twinkling with a mix of excitement and mischief.

"Come with me," Ishan whispered, leading Shubman towards the backyard. The guests were engrossed in a lively game of charades, so no one noticed them slipping away.

Once outside, Shubman felt the cool evening breeze brush against his skin. Ishan led him to a small, secluded corner of the garden, where twinkling fairy lights cast a soft glow over a cozy bench.

"Ishan, what's this?" Shubman asked, curiosity and affection mingling in his voice.

"I wanted to steal a moment with you," Ishan replied, pulling Shubman close. "It's been such a crazy few weeks, and I just wanted to remind you how much you mean to me."

Shubman felt a warmth spread through him at Ishan's words. He leaned in, pressing his forehead against Ishan's. "You always know how to make everything better," he murmured.

Ishan smiled, his hand gently caressing Shubman's cheek. "Only because you make it so easy to love you, Sunshine."

They sat down on the bench, their fingers intertwined. The garden was peaceful, a perfect contrast to the lively atmosphere inside. They talked softly, their voices mingling with the gentle rustle of leaves and the distant sounds of the party.

"Remember our first date?" Shubman asked, a nostalgic smile playing on his lips.

"How could I forget?" Ishan replied, chuckling. "You were so nervous, you nearly tripped over your own feet."

Shubman laughed, playfully nudging Ishan. "And you were so stoic, I thought you were going to scare me away."

Ishan's eyes softened as he looked at Shubman. "I was just trying to hide how much I wanted to impress you."

"Well, you did," Shubman said, his voice tender. "And you still do, every single day."

They sat there for a while longer, lost in their own world. Eventually, they heard the sounds of their friends calling them back inside.

"We should probably get back," Ishan said, standing up and offering his hand to Shubman. "Can't leave them unsupervised for too long."

Shubman laughed, taking Ishan's hand and allowing himself to be pulled up. "You're right. Let's go before they burn the house down."

As they rejoined the party, their friends greeted them with playful teasing and good-natured ribbing.

"Where did you two lovebirds disappear?" Hardik asked, raising an eyebrow.

"Just needed a moment to ourselves," Ishan replied, his arm around Shubman's waist.

"Well, hurry up and join the game," Rohit said, gesturing to the group. "It's your turn!"

Shubman and Ishan jumped back into the festivities, their hearts lighter and their connection stronger. The night continued with more laughter, games, and heartfelt toasts. By the end of the evening, everyone was in high spirits, celebrating not just the new home, but the love and friendship that bound them all together.

As the guests began to leave, Shubman and Ishan stood by the door, bidding them goodnight.

"Thanks for coming, everyone," Shubman said, his face glowing with happiness.

"It was a fantastic night," Ishan added, shaking hands and hugging their friends. "We appreciate you all."

Once the last guest had left, Shubman closed the door and leaned against it, letting out a contented sigh. "That was perfect."

Ishan walked over, wrapping his arms around Shubman from behind. "It really was. And now, we get to enjoy our cozy home all to ourselves."

Shubman turned in Ishan's arms, looking up at him with a loving smile. "I wouldn't want it any other way."

They moved to the living room, where they flopped down onto the couch. The remnants of the party lay around them, but neither felt the urge to clean up just yet.

"I think this has been one of the best nights of my life," Shubman said, resting his head on Ishan's shoulder.

"Mine too," Ishan agreed, pressing a kiss to Shubman's hair. "It's just the beginning, Sunshine. We've got so many more nights like this ahead of us."

Shubman looked up, his eyes shining with love and gratitude. "I'm so lucky to have you, Ishan. You make everything better."

"And I'm lucky to have you," Ishan replied, his voice filled with emotion. "You're my light, Shubman. My sunshine."

They sat there for a while, basking in the warmth of their love and the joy of the evening. Eventually, they got up and began to tidy up, working together seamlessly as they had done earlier.

As they cleaned, they talked about the night, laughing over the funny moments and reminiscing about the heartfelt toasts. They moved through the house, putting things back in order, but their focus was always on each other.

Once everything was clean, they made their way to the bedroom, their hands intertwined.

"I think we've earned a good night's sleep," Shubman said, stifling a yawn.

"Absolutely," Ishan agreed, pulling Shubman close. "But first, I need to tell you something."

Shubman looked up, curiosity in his eyes. "What is it?"

Ishan took a deep breath, his expression serious yet tender. "I know my job keeps me away a lot, and I know it’s hard on you. But I want you to know that every moment I'm away, I'm thinking of you. You're my home, Shubman. No matter where I am or what I'm doing, you're always in my heart."

Shubman's eyes filled with tears, touched by Ishan's words. "Ishan, I know it's tough, but I love you more than anything. I can handle the distance because I know you'll always come back to me. You're my everything."

They embraced tightly, their love wrapping around them like a protective shield. They knew that there would be challenges ahead, but in that moment, they were united in their commitment to each other.

Finally, they crawled into bed, snuggling close under the covers. Shubman rested his head on Ishan's chest, listening to the steady beat of his heart.

"Goodnight, Ishan," Shubman whispered, his voice filled with love and contentment.

"Goodnight, Sunshine," Ishan replied, kissing Shubman's forehead. "Sweet dreams."

As they drifted off to sleep, they held each other close, their hearts and minds connected. They had faced challenges before and knew that more would come, but their love was strong and unwavering. Together, they could overcome anything.

And as they slept, wrapped in each other's arms, the world outside seemed to fade away. In their new home, with their love as their guide, they knew they were exactly where they were meant to be.
