I'm feeling really nervous, the not knowing is the worst part. Jane noticed "Hey, hey breathe. Just breathe. In, and out in and out. Okay?" Jane was helping, I usually do panic a lot and she always did this when I was going off the rails.
We eventually get to the hospital and we run in the door. "Hello, where is Susan mayfield she was admitted, like last night." I frantically tell the receptionest, Jane grabs my hand. I notice immediately, but my thoughts are interrupted. "And your name?" The receptionist questions. "Jane, I mean- " I squinted my eyes noticeing me being flustered is noticeable "uhm, Its max! Max mayfield, her daughter" I sighed.
Nonetheless I kept Janes hand in mine, helped with the mom situation. "She is staying in... room 217 you can go visit her, the elevator is that way" the receptionist points backward. Me and Jane walk to the elevator still hand in hand. We climb in the elevator and Jane pushes the second floor button. It was silent but again Jane broke it. "Do you not want me to hold your hand, because we don't have to. You were just getting stressed and I d-" Jane toys to explain herself awkwardly. "No. It's fine, it's... calming" Jane nods.
She's smiling at the ground and I am too.
"I don't like seeing you stressed" Jane finishes her sentence. We smile at each other, but the elevator door rings and we walk to 217. I walk through the door, and see her.
