--My POV—
Leah: DON'T TOUCH ME!
Me: Leah,
Leah: Kai, I'm so sorry.
Me: it's okay Leah. I heard everything. Thank you for looking out for me.
Leah: I just don't want you to go through what I go through.
Me: Leah, it's okay. The only thing I'm afraid of is me dying. That's the only thing that's running through my mind. If Seth imprints on someone else, yeah I'll feel horrible, but he's going to be happy.
Leah: I just don't know why he hasn't,
Then my phone rang. I pulled it out of my pocket and I saw the caller I.D. Rachel? I picked up the phone, 'Kaya? I think you should come back to the house.' Before I could say anything, the line went dead. 'Uh, that was Rachel. She said I should head back. Want to come?' She nodded and we went back to Sam's. Everyone was on the porch, waiting for us. Seth was there too. Before they let Leah or I talk, they pointed inside the living room.
Leah and I walked into the living room and saw on one of the big pillow,
---Seth's POV---
I couldn't go back to sleep so I decided to take a walk in the forest. I was walking until I saw something ruffling on the ground. I started to back away until it snapped its head towards me and saw me. He started walking toward me and nudged its nose on my leg. I looked at its eyes and saw it going heavy.
I stood up and said, sit boy.
He did as told and looked at me with his eyes. He looks familiar but I just couldn't put my hand on it. 'You want to come with me? I'll give you a good home and family. I'm sure everyone will like you.' It grinned at me and I carried it in my arms. I reluctantly found out it was a boy. He started falling asleep as I was heading towards Sam's house. When I got there, they all looked at me and saw the little doggy in my arms.
Emily: Seth,
Me: guys. Meet our new pet. Isn't he cute?
They all looked at him in my arms and their eyes widened. They all shared a look and turned back to me,
Kwoli: is he dead?
Me: no, he just fell asleep in my arms.
Kwoli: phew, okay. Why don't you place him on the big pillow, and we'll see what Kaya says about this.
Me: OKAY.
I set him down, and they all led me onto the porch waiting for Kaya. She finally came and she walked into the living room with Leah. We all followed them inside. She spotted him and froze,
Me: isn't he cute? Can we keep him Kaya?
--My POV—
Why is Koda sleeping on the big pillow in his wolf form? What the hell is going on? CRAP! I forgot Seth doesn't know he phased. What am I going to tell Seth? We can't keep him like that. How is he still in wolf form when he sleeps? How did Seth even find him like that?
Me: Seth, where did you find him?
Seth: I was strolling the forest and I came across him in the meadow.
The forest? What was Koda doing in the forest alone?
Seth: can we keep him? Please!
Me: Seth, I'm sorry but we can't keep him.
Seth: BUT WHY?
Me: he belongs in the wild. We can't take care of him like this. He's going to have to be in the wild one way or another. And I'm sure his mother is looking for him right now. He's a wolf's baby.
Once I said baby, he woke up at the sound of my voice. He looked at me and ran to me. I kneed down to pet Koda on the head,
Seth: but come on! He loves you!
I mumble under my breath, 'good. He's my baby.'
Seth: and he loves me too!
I mumble again, 'he's your baby too.'
Me: I'm sorry Seth, we can't.
Seth: can we at least show him to Koda? I know he'll love Koda too.
Me: you know, he's asleep upstairs, where he should be.
I look at Koda's wolf form, and he whimpers at me.
Me: I'm going to go return him into the wild. We'll adopt you a dog tomorrow. I promise.
I carried Koda outside and into the forest. I set him down on the ground and told him to phase back. When he phased, he didn't look at me.
Me: Koda, look at me.
Koda: yes mama?
Me: what were you doing in the forest alone? You know you're not supposed to.
Koda: I'm sorry mama. I just read dada's mind that he was going for a walk, and I wanted to go meet him. But I was still in my wolf form.
Me: you're lucky no one got hurt. Now, how are we going to get you back into the house, without Seth being suspicious? You are supposed to be in the room.
We walked back to the side of Sam's house and went to my window. I jumped and opened it. I went back down, got Koda, and jumped back into the room. I had to go back down the window and through the front door so Seth suspects nothing.
