--My POV—
My face dropped. Everyone sat there shocked. Eyes and mouths wide open. What the heck just happened? What is happening now?
Let me recap on what just happened, shall we?
Watching the wedding, like any other wedding. The pastor was talking and said, 'If anyone objects to this marriage, speak now or forever hold your peace.'
He waited a couple seconds before continuing. Then the most shocking thing happened. Someone said, I OBJECT. Everyone gasped, and looked shocked. The whole pack and Cullen clan looked at me in complete shock. The thing is, I didn't say it.
Seth did.
Kayla was ready to cry. 'Wh-what do you mean Seth? That was a joke right?'
Pastor: And WHY do you object Mr. Clearwater?
Seth looked at his mom, signaling her to turn around. She turned around and spotted me. I was still in awe at what just happened. I looked at her and she had tears in her eyes. Seth took Kayla's hands, 'Kayla, I swear on my heart you didn't do anything. It's just, I'm still in love with someone else. I'm sorry. I can't do this anymore.' He pecked her cheek, dropped her hands, and walked down the aisle. I was sitting all the way in the back of the church. My eyes followed him as he was walking to the back of the church. I looked away from him as he was close to passing me. He stopped before opening the church doors, I felt eyes on me and he let out a big sigh. He left the church without any hesitation.
Kayla was on the altar, crying her eyes out. She kept asking her mom what made him change his mind. What she could've done. I was looking at her, feeling horrible of what I just did. Kayla wiped her smeared face, and turned her head to the back of the church hoping to find Seth standing there, but spotted me instead. She lifted herself and her dress up, and walked to me with her mom right behind her. 'It was a mistake inviting you! YOU. RUINED. EVERYTHING!' she said in a sour voice. She walked out of the church and continued to cry.
The pack, Sue, my family, and the Cullen clan were in the front of the altar talking. They were all staring at me when I looked up at them. I mouth, I'm sorry. They all gave me a half smile and chuckled a little. I guess they were happy. But I wasn't. I had to go find Seth.
