The hallways of their prestigious university were always buzzing with life, but the whispers and stolen glances all seemed to be directed toward one person: Hansol Vernon Choi. He was the guy every girl, and some guys, dreamed about—handsome, tall, and infuriatingly good at everything. Whether he was acing exams, dominating the basketball court, or casually playing guitar at the campus café, Hansol had this effortless charm that left people awestruck. And Boo Seungkwan couldn't stand it.

Well, maybe "couldn't stand it" wasn't the right phrase. He did notice how the corner of Hansol's mouth would lift when he smiled, and how his deep voice would make Seungkwan's stomach flip when he spoke during class. But that wasn't the point. Seungkwan had enough on his plate—being the head of the cheerleading squad and balancing his family drama was more than enough.

It was one of those days when Seungkwan was leading his squad through a complex routine, pushing his team to perfection. He was in his element, his sharp voice cutting through the noise. "Five, six, seven, eight—"

Just then, the basketball team barged in, as usual, led by Hansol, who seemed to make it his mission to look unbothered by the intrusion.

"You're early," Seungkwan snapped, not even bothering to hide his annoyance.

Hansol shrugged, spinning the ball on his fingertip with a lazy grin. "Or maybe you're late. Practice schedules changed."

Seungkwan huffed, crossing his arms as his team hesitated, watching the confrontation. "Well, we're not done. So you can wait."

Hansol raised an eyebrow, glancing over at Seungkwan with a playful smirk. "Cheerleading's important, sure. But maybe you guys could use a little more time practicing. That last pyramid you tried looked... shaky." His voice dripped with amusement.

Seungkwan's jaw clenched. "Excuse me? We're doing just fine. Not that you would know anything about what it takes to actually lead a team." He stepped closer, his eyes fiery with defiance.

Hansol's smirk faltered for a moment, replaced by something softer, something almost like admiration, but it vanished just as quickly. "Alright, leader. Let's see who finishes first." He winked, then jogged back to his team.

Seungkwan stood there, fuming—and yet, there was something else. Something about the way Hansol always looked at him, the way his voice held a teasing edge that made his heart race, even when it shouldn't.

Later that evening, as Seungkwan packed up his gear, he caught a glimpse of Hansol in the parking lot, leaning against his bike, scrolling through his phone. Their eyes met, and for a brief second, the world seemed to quiet down around them.

"Hey, Seungkwan," Hansol called out, his voice more genuine now, without the usual teasing. "You know... you're actually a really good leader. Your team's lucky."

Seungkwan blinked, caught off guard by the sudden compliment. "Uh... thanks?" His voice cracked slightly, but he quickly recovered. "Not that I needed validation from you."

Hansol chuckled, pushing off his bike and walking a little closer. "I guess I'm just saying I respect that. Maybe you should give me some tips on how to run a team sometime."

Seungkwan scoffed. "Yeah, right. Like I'd waste my time with—"

But before he could finish, Hansol's smile softened, and Seungkwan found himself unable to look away. Hansol reached up, brushing a strand of Seungkwan's hair behind his ear.

"See you around, cheerleader," Hansol said softly, before walking off and leaving Seungkwan standing there, his heart hammering in his chest.

As Hansol disappeared into the distance, Seungkwan whispered to himself, "What the hell just happened?"

Whatever it was, Seungkwan knew one thing for sure: life at this university just got a whole lot more complicated. And somehow, Hansol was always at the center of it.
