The next morning, Seungkwan sat cross-legged on his bed, staring at Moonbin, who was standing in front of him with his arms crossed and an eyebrow raised. Moonbin had an expression that could only be described as a mix of curiosity and smugness, like he already knew the gossip but was waiting for the full, dramatic confession.
"So," Moonbin began, dragging out the word like a talk show host about to reveal the big secret, "when exactly were you planning on telling me that you're dating Hansol?"
Seungkwan squirmed, pulling his blanket up to his chin like it would somehow protect him from this inevitable grilling. "Um... technically, we're not officially dating. It's kind of new... like, really new."
Moonbin dropped onto Seungkwan's bed with the grace of a cat but the force of an elephant, making the mattress bounce. "Really new, huh? 'New' as in last night new or you've been secretly seeing each other for weeks new?"
Seungkwan groaned, knowing there was no escaping this. He might as well tell Moonbin the whole story. "Okay, fine! We like each other, okay? We've been, like... figuring things out."
Moonbin narrowed his eyes. "Figuring things out? That's it? No juicy drama? I'm disappointed, Seungkwan."
Seungkwan threw a pillow at him. "I'm serious! It's complicated. And last night was just... a lot happened."
Moonbin caught the pillow midair and smirked. "Oh, I know. I saw Hansol acting all protective. Very knight-in-shining-armor of him, by the way. I half expected him to pull out a sword and declare his undying love for you right there."
Seungkwan blushed, pulling his blanket tighter. "Stop it! He was just... I don't know, trying to help."
"Help? Sure. The way he had his arm wrapped around you screamed 'help,'" Moonbin teased, wiggling his eyebrows. "So, when's the wedding?"
Seungkwan groaned louder, throwing his head back. "Moonbin, please, I just woke up. Can you not start with your nonsense?"
Moonbin leaned in dramatically, getting closer to Seungkwan's face. "I have the right to ask! I'm your best friend. You're supposed to tell me everything—like how Hansol's been giving you heart eyes for months while you acted clueless."
"I wasn't clueless!" Seungkwan protested, though the redness creeping up his face told a different story. "I just... didn't know how to deal with it."
Moonbin sat back, satisfied with Seungkwan's embarrassment. "I knew it. You've been totally oblivious. Hansol, Mr. Popular, has been trying to get your attention for ages, and you just walked around in your little world, completely unaware."
Seungkwan pouted. "I wasn't that oblivious. I just thought he was being friendly."
Moonbin threw his head back in laughter. "Friendly? Seungkwan, the guy practically stares at you like you're the last tangerine in the fruit bowl! He's obsessed."
Seungkwan buried his face in his hands, muttering through his fingers, "This is so embarrassing. Can we not talk about this?"
Moonbin, of course, had no intention of letting it go. "Embarrassing? Oh no, we're just getting started. You're telling me everything. I want the details! How did it happen? What made you finally wake up and realize Hansol was head over heels for you?"
Seungkwan peeked through his fingers. "It wasn't that dramatic, okay? We were spending time together, and I just... started noticing things. How he looked at me, how he was always... there."
Moonbin snorted. "Oh, so you finally noticed him after a thousand obvious signs? Good for you."
Seungkwan huffed, dropping his hands. "It's not like that! It just took me a while to... process."
