"Eiran!", A scream brought him back to reality. "Lord Shadow, what...what happened?"A guard from outside stood, surrounded by the room covered in blood, next to Eiran, who couldn't think, couldn't speak, and didn't dare to move.

A shaking hand rested on his shoulder, turning him to face the other way. Eiran's blurred vision cleared at the sight of Felix's very concerned face. Eiran focused on him and then the world around him. He still didn't look over to where the man was just a few moments ago.

"You're okay now. It's okay."Felix whispered, trying to comfort Eiran who was now crying. He didn't know he was crying. He didn't know why he was crying either. God, why was he crying? "What happened? Where did he go? Why did- Where are the others?"He asked frantically.

"They're okay. No one else got hurt. The man however...it wasn't your fault. It wasn't anyone's fault but the president...He's a sick monster."Felix explained, looking at the spot in the room covered in the most blood, the place the man was.

"Eiran! Lola! Are you okay?"Josephine's voice echoed. Lola yelled back, "I'm okay!". Eiran didn't respond but Felix yelled for him. "Eiran's okay!" "Felix?Where did you come from?"Josephine questioned, following the sound of Felix's voice. "The explosion wasn't exactly quiet. I ran here when I heard it. The guards told me what happened."Felix answered quickly.

"Hey Felix. You're getting kind of...blurry-"Then it all went black. "Hurr-.....Shadow...Please....Eiran. Eiran please wake up!"Felix's voice was the last thing he heard. It got quiet. Really really quiet. Too quiet. 'Is this what death feels like?'Eiran wondered.

Then light flooded around him. He opened his eyes slowly, seeing an unfamiliar face as well as a sleeping Felix next to him. He was on a bed, covered in a blanket. The light was a small lantern set up on a side table next to a stack of get-well cards and a bouquet of flowers. He looked around to find out he was in a fairly large tent with about a dozen other beds all separated by thin curtains. The person he didn't recognize was holding a small clipboard they were studying.

"Oh, you're awake. We didn't expect you to wake up for a few more days. Probably your magic interfering with your health. The Earth element does possess healing powers. But that would mean that you have trained that power. Or could it be that it was an instinct? Like fight or flight? Interesting. Give me a minute."They rushed off quickly, still rambling. It wasn't until then that he really acknowledged Felix sleeping, hand resting next to his, and having bags under his eyes, like he hadn't slept in days.

"Felix? You okay?"He whispered. Felix moved his head slightly, opening his eyes, which went wide after realizing who he was looking at. "Oh my gosh! Am I okay!? You're the one who nearly died! Do you have any idea how worried I was? June has been working non-stop to keep you alive but all of us had no choice but to sit back and wait for you to either wake up or...well you know. What would we have done then? Huh?"He rambled, standing up and pacing.

"Felix. You look like you haven't slept in years. How long have you been here?"Eiran asked. "Since you got here. They tried to tell me to leave-"He sat back down,"but I couldn't bear the thought of something happening while I was gone."He said that last part more quietly but Eiran still caught it, happy that he cared so much.

Josephine and Lola ran in quickly, looking and sounding out of breath. "Adair told us you were awake and we got here as quickly as possible."Josephine said, trying to catch her breath. "Adair?"Eiran questioned. "The doctor that was in here. They've been taking care of you. Well, taking care of you as best they could considering how worried this one was."Lola said, pointing to Felix, a smile creeping up on her face. "Hey, I wasn't that worried!"He protested. "Uh huh. And I'm the president of Oscon. Believe what you want Eiran."She laughed.

"Well, now that Eiran's awake, you can go and get something to eat and catch up on some sleep. And before you say anything, that wasn't a question, it was an order. Go."Josephine yelled at Felix, who stomped off like an angry toddler. "That kid...You know, he hasn't slept or eaten for nearly three days because he refused to leave your side. I'm pretty sure he's been surviving on nothing but a couple glasses of water here and there. Adair kept telling us that he didn't even sleep at night. He was always awake when nurses came to check on you. He really was worried you know."Josephine explained to Eiran, sitting on the edge of the bed.

"Really, he was that worried? I mean I could tell he hadn't slept for quite a while but...I could never imagined he'd do all that just to make sure I was okay..."Eiran looked to the nightstand, slightly guilty but he couldn't tell why.
