It was lunch and fifteen minutes in to this volleyball session. We couldn't access the court so we could only pass the ball to one another in a circle.
It's been so long since I've played the sport since school was very so-so. I learn, go home and repeat, it's not like anything would happen.
Jihoon set the ball up and Sangwon jumped up in the air attempting to smash it down. His efforts went into vain as his fingers merely missed the perfect spot. I looked at the ball that flew over my head going towards the direction of two girls
wait-oh
the yellow-blue ball bounced off one of the girl's hands rolling around the pavement. I let go of a breath I didn't know I was holding.
Before I could even take a step forward to retrieve the ball, the said girl had already jumped down and took it for herself
She seemed to be hesitating so I brought my arms up as a signal for her to throw the ball towards me
The girl was oddly familiar, I have been seeing her around school very often these days but I don't recall that particular moment I've seen her closely
"Youngjae hyung!!~" My thoughts were cut by Jihoon who brought his arms over my shoulders
"Hyung, there's a cafe nearby that I want to go today can you pleaseee come with me, please?"
"I have volleyball with Sangwon today though"
"Then you can come after!"
"I'll think about it"
"I'll bring Dohoon hyung too!"
Jihoon jumped excitedly as the bells ringed signaling lunch was over
Time Skip
I lay down on my bed after a quick shower thinking about something
that girl
I knew her friend, she was one of Dohoon's friends, Lee Hana. Who was the other girl? I definitely have seen her before though. It's bothering me so much since I knew a lot of people but can't seem to remember her name
Despite being an introvert, many people came up to me and my friends, I'm guessing to be friends but I don't think I've seen or heard of her?
She probably has played some sports though, her throwing was definitely something.
I shook my thoughts out and texted Jihoon. He's probably sulking to Dohoon about how I didn't go to the cafe with him. I told him we could hangout tomorrow since it was the weekends and I didn't feel like volleyball. I bet he is giggling around the bed like a puppy right now.
I took out my laptop to finish a 10-minute presentation I have on Monday. How am i supposed to talk for a full ten minutes??? I question the school so many times on whatever they give us as homework.
wait-I think I remember where I've seen that girl
Kim Eunha. The girl who caught everyone's attention with her voice when each class representatives had to present their class project and reports in front of university teachers and the whole level. I remember when everyone talked about how she talked with a nice flow and connected all her sentences. Heck she even got many compliments from the judges.
Okay Youngjae, how do we connect these points to make reach 10 minutes? Could I even stand in front of my peers' eyes for that long.
The laptop came to an off as I rolled out of bed to go get some snacks at the convenience store. If my brain is not sleeping then my stomach won't sleep either.
