Third person POV

Another week also went by in a blur. Two months into university and Eunha couldn't care less about Youngjae now. If he didn't want to talk then she won't beg for him to.

Lectures after lectures, class after class, there was no reason to talk to him anyway. No activities are being held any time soon.

This didn't mean Eunha had moved on. Oh how she wished she did. It was a lingering hope that he would come back to the group and everything will be back to normal. Hope.

Youngjae felt the same. He knew it was something childish but he just felt no one was actually, physically, emotionally there for him.

He appreciated the boys and their efforts to help him. Really. But it was more of something like:

They tell him to eat. Then they force feed him. Then he refuses. Then they get mad. Then he gives up to Jihoon. Repeat.

He misses Jihoon, a lot. so much. too much. He misses everyone and one particular person. He's been trying so hard to get over what had happened but the only thing he sees in the mirror is his younger self. All the comments from people still get to his head no matter how hard he tried.

Youngjae promised to himself, if he was going to go back to the boys, he had to fix himself first. Not just by eating regularly, but moving on from the past. Specifically, the problem was not that he wasn't eating at all or vomiting it out, but the fact that he kept getting reminded of everything when he sees some foods.

In this moment, Youngjae is sleeping on his bed, exhausted from classes and people's chit chats. No doubt, his section has been spreading rumors about him and Eunha. They were like sticky notes that suddenly got pulled apart.

Just then, Youngjae hears footsteps in his dorm. Using his senses, he guesses it was Shinyu and let out a big sigh, mumbling something into the pillow.

Shinyu walked up the seven floors, opening the door lock with a key he almost forgot he had. Shinyu had enough. It was either Youngjae was going to man up or Shinyu was going to spend months in there awkwardly.

Only a door separated the two and like the back of his hand, Shinyu knew Youngjae's dorm well to clean up whatever he walked into.

Shinyu sleeps on the couch after putting some cut up watermelons in front of Youngjae's door, knowing that it was one of Youngjae's favorites. He wrote a little note to tell the boy just why he was there in the dorm and was adamant that he will not leave until they talk.

Well, Shinyu didn't know if it was a good idea when the following morning, he had to walk up and down the seven floors to go to his classes. But he was not going to let his pride down like that. As the oldest he will be the one who brings this kid back. no. exceptions.

He was feeling good when on his third day, Youngjae's elevator card was placed on the dining table with an angry emoji drawn on a small note. Shinyu smiled, feeling a sense of success. If Youngjae didn't want to talk to him, he wouldn't feel bad and give him the elevator card. Right?

As the week went by, Shinyu kept cooking whatever he knew Youngjae likes best, either putting it down on the table or in front of his bedroom. He was practically married to Youngjae at this point.

They see each other from time to time but never had a conversation. Shinyu was not feeling down though, sometimes Youngjae would cook a little something and draw an emoji that was telling his mood on a note.

Once, Youngjae made him sandwhiches for a morning class and drew a bored emoji on the wrapper.

Saturday night was the most significant. The clock ticked 2:00am and Shinyu was scrolling through his phone. His friends were asking where he was all week since the only time they see him is at lunch.

A creaky sound brought him to a stop as the lights were dim too. Footsteps can be heard and Shinyu let out a scream when a person stood in front of him. It was Youngjae.

"Hyunggg" Youngjae says softly, walking towards Shinyu who is frozen on the couch.

Shinyu stays still but after realizing THE CHOI YOUNGJAE was talking to him, he brought his arm and scooted into the couch, creating space. Youngjae broight himself on the couch and 'cuddled' with Shinyu.

"I'm sorry I was like that. Thank you though. For being here with me this week. Thank you." Youngjae mumbled into the elder's arm.

"I'm glad you're talking to me. First step yeah? I'm sure the boys would forgive you just fine." If anyone else saw this, they would think the two were dating. If Youngjae was able to be Shinyu's safe zone then Shinyu would try his best to be Youngjae's own safe zone.

"Well the boys and Hana will, I'm not sure about Eunha..." He adds on glancing at the boy. He had already fallen asleep, head rested on the boy's arm.

His efforts were helping
