"Come on, babe! Let's go, please. I'm exhausted from all the office work and need peace. Please, babe! Please!" Sush wanted some fun on the following Sunday. She requested Ragini for it but she was rejected.

"Why don't you go then? Have some fun! You're stuck at home 24/7. Go and get a change of scenery," suggested Sparsh. Actually, Sush gave a call to him and requested him to let Ragini hang out with her.

"She thinks I'm the one who doesn't let you step out of the house," said Sparsh with a smirk.

"You wanna come along?" Ragini offered.

Sparsh rolled his eyes and stared at Ragini. "No thanks!"

On Sunday, Sparsh had an emergency case, so he left immediately after the breakfast. Ragini also left when she received a call from Sush. They had decided to meet at a shopping mall near Ragini's house. The women greeted each other with loud hugs.

"I'd have never talked to you if you had refused my request," cried Sush.

"You called Sparsh to convince me!"

Sush chuckled and said, "You'd have never come if I hadn't!"

They explored the various stores in the mall hand in hand. Nostalgia hit them and they had conversation about their past which was alive only in their memories.  After their shopping, as they walked towards the food court with their hungry stomachs, Ragini spotted Sid sitting at a table, waiting for them. She instantly halted and stared at Sush who apologetically held her hand and said, "He wanted to talk to you."

"How could you do this to me? Is he your only friend? Am I nothing to you?"

Ragini was disappointed and furious. Her last conversation with Sid didn't go well and she believed another one would be useless too. When Sid saw her reluctance, he stepped out and stood right before her.
He kneeled down and said, "I know I was a jerk. I was wrong. Please, forgive me."

Ragini looked at Sush with astonishment who blinked in affirmation. The kneeling down of Sid had gained attention from the public; it was decided they leave the mall first and then find a suitable place for their conversation.

"Tell her everything you wanna say to her. Don't leave even a single thing out. Come on, now!" Sush encouraged Sid.

"Rags, I am genuinely sorry for everything. For betraying your trust and breaking up with you. For being a jerk who was still obsessed with you after I, myself, made you marry my own brother because of my incapability and selfishness. I was a coward and a loser. I also did wrong to my brother who blindly trusts me."

Ragini and Sush exchanged looks when Sid went silent. They gazed at teary-eyed Sid and Sush was about to say something when he spoke again, "Please forgive me for whatever I did. I promise I've changed. Sush made me realise that you've moved on and I should too. I don't intend to cry over your loss anymore. Whatever happened between us was my solely fault and I accept it. Now it's time to make things better and your apology will upstart a new beginning for both of us. So tell me, will you forgive me? Will you accept my apology and be friends with me again?"

Ragini sensed truthfulness in his voice and facial expressions. She had known him for a long time and knew he was a kind person. He must have done wrong things but his emotional instability could do nothing better. She took a sigh of relief at the idea of Sid moving on from her and a smile erupted on her pretty face and she nodded.

Sid's right eye escaped a tear and Sush also couldn't stop herself from shedding a few tears. That moment was a new beginning in their lives. Everything seemed to have got better and back to its place.

"So, how was your day?"

Ragini moved closer to Sparsh and kissed his neck.
"You're so sexy!"

Sparsh giggled shyly. "Don't seduce me like that!"

"Why? You don't like it?" said Ragini while drawing stars on her husband's cheeks.

"Baby!"

"Hmm?"

"I love you."

Ragini gazed at her husband whose eyes were evident of his love towards her. She tightened her grip around her husband and whispered "I love you more" in his ear followed by a gentle kiss on his forehead.

In return, Sparsh held her tighter and inhaled her lavender scent. But he was unable to eliminate the image of Ragini and Sid hugging each other. What he saw on his way back home was something he could neither justify nor find the reason behind.

He tightened his grip and kissed Ragini's hair and breathing her fragrance in, he closed his eyes to sleep. But the thoughts and doubts in his mind were a hurdle. As the thoughts raced in his mind, his grip around Ragini grew tighter. He didn't want to doubt either his wife or brother but he had no answer to the questions his mind had. The people he never even saw talking at home hugged each other in a public place. Why? The answer to this WHY needed to be found.

Sparsh decided to talk to Ragini the next morning and not jump to any conclusions. He convinced his anxious  heart to trust his wife and brother. He kissed Ragini's forehead and gazed at her. She was sound asleep.

"I love you. You love me too, right?" he whispered as he didn't want to disturb her while she was sleeping.

After one more kiss on her forehead, Sparsh closed his eyes too.
