"I'm glad you guys are finally all cool. The tension between you two was taking a toll on me. Now we'll go and have fun together like we used to." Sush's happiness was obvious from her voice.

Ragini felt the same. The differences between Sid and her had been resolved. They were back to being friends and she felt relieved. Living under the same roof would be a burden if our hearts were dissatisfied. Her heart was finally at peace now. She was more than relieved now that they didn't need to ignore each other's presence in their house. It might take some time for Sid to be completely over Ragini and till that day things could be a little awkward between them, but they could still talk and they didn't need to act like strangers.

"I used to feel guilty towards Sparsh. I was hiding things from him and and I felt like betraying him. I used to constantly fear that one day he would come to know everything and that day he would leave me for I betrayed him."

Sush rolled her eyes and replied, "You never betrayed him. You just didn't tell him. They are both different things. And let me ask you, what would you tell him? That you married him for revenge on his younger brother? Or that you loved his brother since college? Come on girl! "

"Now I don't need to worry about anything, right? Sid has changed, he's not obsessed with me now. How Sid was behaving was a major concern for me . I was scared he would tell Sparsh everything, however now I feel this secret is safe among the three of us. Do you think I should request Sid to never let this secret out?"

"He 's smart enough to know that, darling. He knows the consequences of spilling this secret out for sure. You need not worry about that. But for your assurance, talk to him whenever you see him. And please start talking to each other at home. Only then will you guys get comfortable with each other around."

The two best friends gossiped for over an hour. They talked about the good old days and the time they spent together. They decided to go on a trip together, like they used to during their college time but with a little change, Sparsh would join them too.

Sparsh had planned to talk things out the first thing in the morning, however, a call from his hospital put a halt to the serious conversation. He had left for the hospital early in the morning and due to a few major surgeries, he would return late at night.

"He's not picking up the calls, Ma," Ragini said to Ma.

"He's out since early morning. It's past 10 and he's still not back. I thought this boy had mended his old ways but he's back to it again. Keep calling him until he picks it up," said Ma and walked towards her room.

Sid came and settled on the sofa. "Let's watch a movie while waiting for him. Don't worry about him, he's a workaholic. He tends to stay out working late. Come, sit."

Ragini sat with enough distance between them. The comedy scenes of the movie could not make her laugh even a little bit. Her eyes kept checking out the time after every 2 minutes. She continued dialling Sparsh's number but in vain. He didn't pick up any calls.

"When did you fall in love with my brother?" This sudden question from Sid surprised Ragini. She wasn't expecting it.

"I'm not sure. I believe it didn't happen in a day. I gradually fell for him after seeing his efforts and kindness. He was caring towards me even when all I did was ignore him. Your brother is such a pure soul. Who would not love him? I was full of hatred when I got married to him. I was burning in the fire of revenge. But it took him only few days to make my hatred go away. He eventually made me fall for him." Ragini took a pause before speaking again, "Siddharth, I hope you won't tell anyone about our past. You won't, right?"

"Only on one condition. Stop calling me Siddharth. Call me as you used to."

A smile erupted on Ragini's face. "Oh, my bad! Sid! Is that cool now?"

Sid nodded and they both laughed. This was a moment of joy for Ragini. She was happy that she didn't need to be careful of Sid anymore. She didn't need to be scared or cautious anymore. She felt as if a huge burden had been lifted off her shoulders. She felt light.

From the windows, Sparsh had witnessed his wife and his brother laughing and having fun. He was not the over possessive kind of husband. He was not controlling by nature. But the two people who never talked to each other at home were suddenly hugging each other and seemed too close, this aroused suspicion.

The door was open so Sparsh straight away entered, ending the conversation between Sid and Ragini.

"Oh, you're here! I've been waiting for you. Do you even know how worried I was? You've been out since morning."

Ragini went to the kitchen and returned with a glass of water. Sparsh was seated on the couch beside Sid. He sipped the water slowly while Ragini watched him.

"You must be hungry. I'll get your dinner ready. Go and get fresh."

"I'm not hungry. I'm tired. " And Sparsh left, without even turning back once.

Ragini, puzzled, ran after him. Sid switched off the TV and laid down on the couch. He picked out his phone from his pocket. While looking at something on his phone, he whispered, "Soon, you'll be mine! You belong to me, only me!"
