When something is in the back of your mind, in this case having to get up early, sometimes your subconscious takes the reigns and will suddenly alert you. Luckily or not, this was the case with the trip to heaven.

It's not always easy to guess what time it is in the bunker with no sun streaming in to give you a guesstimate, but you knew it was too early for your brain to be jerking you awake.

You were tangled with Dean, you could feel him holding onto you, his warmth almost making it too hard to leave and without opening your eyes yet, you got out of his grasp carefully. Blindly, you stood up lazily, and opened your eyes as you started to stretch before noticing out of the corner of your eye a shadowy figure in the doorway. You jumped back slightly before pulling your pistol from under the mattress and pointing it.

"I just came to wake you." Cas's gravelly voice had you lowering the firearm with a relieved sigh and as you were putting it back, you noticed Dean stirring, reaching to your side of the bed half asleep, looking for you.

"Already?" He whined in a ruff voice that always did things to you.

"We should be back later," You looked to Cas and he winced slightly so when you looked back at Dean you added, "Or tomorrow," With a shrug before kissing his cheek, "Love you, go back to sleep."

"Love you too," He answered groggily and when he laid his head back down, he looked over at his best friend, "Feel better, buddy."

"I'll try." Cas offered weakly, looking over to you, and then leaving the room.

He tried to stay awake as you packed, but it was extremely early, and he was never a morning person.

"Let me get some coffee and I'll give you a more decent goodbye." He smiled sleepily, going to sit up before you climbed on the bed and pushed his bare chest back down.

"I'm leaving in thirty seconds," You warned when he pulled you down for a kiss, "Twenty-eight," You counted off whenever he broke the kiss just to go back in again with a smirk on his face, "Twenty-two," You smiled as he dragged out the next one, only breaking away for the need of oxygen, "Okay, I gotta go."

"Call me if you run into anything."

"If I can't handle it first." You smirked and he hummed.

"Okay, okay," He sighed when you gave him a look after another kiss, "Go before I change my mind."

"Might lose cell reception!" You warned on your way out of the bedroom, "Love you!"

You rushed down the hall with your duffel and met Cas at the entrance, saying goodbye to Jack and Sam who were of course already up.

"Enjoy your trip!" Sam cheered with an unsure smile and you both said goodbye to them before making your way out the door.

"Ah, the playground entrance." You pretended to sigh dreamily, confusing the angel next to you before both of you got out of your jeep.

Part of the plan was to time it so that you'd both come on Samandriel's shift.

"Castiel." He greeted with a smile, not knowing the plan, and you felt kind of bad as you readied your angel blade behind you, "And who's your lovely companion?"

"This is Y/n, she's a hunter," Cas cleared his throat after you greeted the other angel with a smile and a small wave, "We need to get inside."

"We don't usually allow humans to enter." Samandriel told him sadly.

"I realize that," Cas put his shaky hand up and you noticed he didn't have a lot of fight in him left, his grace was dying out faster than you thought, "But we're getting in there one way or another."

"Hey, Sandy," You spoke up, walking in front of Cas, "Can I call you Sandy?"

"My name is Samandriel." He stated in a somewhat nervous voice after you pulled out your blade.

"Look Sandy, you seem like a good kid," You smiled, and he looked at you confused, "So, I don't want to hurt you."

"Let us through." Cas tried again, knowing you were kind of quick to get violent.

"Fine." He huffed, drawing in the sand and then it lit up as it created a glowing tornado type of situation.

"Thank you!" You smiled brightly and he nodded shyly.

"Follow me." Cas told you, looking more and more tired by the minute, before jumping in.

You saluted Sandy before following suit.

Right after jumping in, you felt a surge of energy and then you were suddenly in a bright white hallway lined with doors.

"So, this is heaven." You shrugged, "Eh."

"This way."

You could tell Cas was in full angel mode as he led you down the hall. His emotions were seemingly checked at the door and the tension wasn't eased with any remarks you made. In fact, once you noticed they were just irritating him, you stopped all together.

"Castiel," The use of his full name coming from you snapped his focus away from the current task, "Isn't it strange how empty this place is? Shouldn't there be more-"

"Castiel, what are you doing here?"

"-Angels." You finished, turning to face three of them.

"And who is this abomination?" Their 'leader' asked.

"I'll have you know, lady," You scoffed, gesturing with your angel blade, "I'm one of Cas's closest friends and I'm not one to be trifled with."

"Abomination?" Cas questioned her, "She's human."

"She possessed the mark. Our father put that cursed thing on her." One of the minions chimed in.

"But it's gone now," You lifted your sleeves, "See?"

"Why are you here?" The leader asked.

"For my grace."

"Way to bury the lead, dude," You rolled your eyes, standing in front of him, and giving a hand signal behind your back to run, "Let's play nice, people."

He whispered a 'no' and you gestured behind your back again.

They dropped their blades and you got into a stance, ready to fight.

"We have every right to defend ourselves and heaven."

"Heaven needs angels." Cas said and you silently cursed him for not running.

"Yeah, let's not kill off three right now." You smirked, but they only grew angrier, "Cas, you should go."

"I'm not leaving you."

The angels started advancing and you threw up your blade to block a hit.

"Castiel, go!" You yelled, "Stick to the plan!"

He reluctantly listened, knowing he wouldn't be much help in a fight anyways.

You got the upper hand on one, but you really didn't want to kill them because they were just doing their job and heaven couldn't afford to lose any more. So, instead of stabbing him like you normally would, you held the blade to his throat as a hostage.

"Pretend like you never saw us, and he lives."

"We can't do that." The leader told you regretfully and you sighed.

"Come on, what's it gonna take?"

"Castiel is one of us," The second minion was saying, "We can let him recharge, but you? I'm afraid you won't be leaving."

"I've heard lines like that countless of times," You smirked, "But somehow I've always found a way, so what makes you think this time will be any different?"

"You're in heaven," The leader smirked back, "And we're not alone."

You were suddenly jerked back by two other angels, one much stronger than the other, that somehow managed to sneak up on you.

"Shit!" You hissed as they twisted your arm, forcing you to drop the blade.

"Bring her in." One demanded and you were suddenly bound when the angel holding you put his fingers to your head, making your world go dark.
