Adhara had Herbology first thing in the morning with the Hufflepuffs. They acted as if the Slytherins were cursed, and tried their best to stay at the other end of the room.

She didn't mind, she was used to the other houses being rude to her own. Slytherin was always going to be the house of dark wizards, and no one was going to change their minds.

She went through all her classes until she was down to potions. She walked in the room and took a seat.

Severus sat behind her, and Evans sat next to him. Amycus walked in and sat next to her, which would leave Alecto and someone else together.

"Welcome class! Please get out your books and turn to page 67." Slughorn instructs, and they do as told.

They begin brewing a Draught of Living Death, the prize being a vial of Felix Felicis.

Adhara's is going great, and Amycus isn't even trying, really. He was watching the Gryffindors and protecting Adhara's potion.

"You don't have to do that, I can watch them and work." She sighs.

"I'm going to ruin the potion anyways, I might as well make sure you get that Felix Felicis." Amycus waves her off as he glares at the four Gryffindors.

By the end of class, Adhara was so lucky she considered if someone had already given her liquid luck.

The marauders had gotten Severus' potion, and in turn it got Evans'. So that left Adhara with the best potion, and thus the reward.

People glared at her as she smirked victoriously. She tucked the vial in her pocket and exited the classroom with her friends.

"That was really hard. I was so confused the entire time." Alecto groans and Amycus absentmindedly nods in agreement.

"I have to go, quidditch and all that." Amycus ruffles Adhara's hair and then he sets off.

Alecto and Adhara go back to their dorm for a while. Alecto painted Adhara's nails a deep red, and Adhara painted Alecto's a sparkly black.

"I've got patrol with Lupin." Adhara groans as she rolls off the bed and into the floor. She lays on a pile of clothes and stares up at the ceiling.

"I can kill him if you'd like." Alecto suggests, and Adhara figures she's only half joking.

"No, Dumbledore would know." Adhara stands up, and smooths out her robes and brushes through her hair before making her way to the prefects office.

Lupin was already there, a cigarette between his lips and a hard look in his eyes.

"Great to know my brother has pushed his deadly habits on everyone else." She comments as she checks her name on the schedule.

"Funnily enough, I introduced him to smoking when he was fifteen." Lupin smiles as he flicks the cigarette out the window.

"Shall we?" He points to the door and she nods.

They walk in silence for a bit, and she was hoping that they would come across someone so it wouldn't be so awkward.

"He misses you, and Regulus." He mumbles, and she stills.

"He sure has a funny way of showing it." She sends him a glare, hoping he'll drop the subject.

"It's just-" he begins.
