Aurora took a deep breath in, examining the room around herself. Large screens were placed on the walls around her, and a large metal chair was placed, raised in the middle of the room. She was nervous, scared even. The read head knew that if she didn't finish this last stage correctly everybody would find out she was divergent.

"Aurora" four said quietly, as he walked up to the girl, "you will be fine darling, just remember what we spoke about".

Four had spent the rest of last night running through the steps of the simulation with Aurora, she needed to remember the 'dauntless' way.

As she laid back into the seat, and the serum was injected into her neck, she felt herself drift from consciousness.

Before Aurora could even open her eyes, she could feel an insane amount of heat, opening them to reveal the burning building she was in, exactly like her simulation.

"Aurora! Help!" Leo shouted from the other end of the house, auroras attention was drawn towards a slight crack that was forming along the roof of the place she once called home. Aurora jolted forwards in a fast sprint, feeling a loud change, as the roof began to collapse she jumped and plummeted herself forwards, through the falling debris, to the other end of the hallway. Shards of concrete and plaster fell around her.

As she reached the ground, she was no longer in the amity home. Now on a tall building. She could feel her heart racing at the sight of how high up she was. She took in another deep breath, trying to regain control over her body.

"Aurora, you're a traitor!" A man shouted from behind her.

"Dad! I swear I" but before she could finish she felt a strong push against her chest, sending her falling off the edge of the building, as her stomach dropped she reminded herself, the dauntless way. She noticed how a long piece of wiring had been next to her, she reached out for it, grabbing ahold of the wire, her body yanked around due to the change of motion. Sending her flying out away from the building, she braced herself as she noticed the window of the building was getting closer, launching herself through, shattering the glass.

Feeling the ground underneath herself once again she felt relief wash over her body. Before a voice could Interrupt.

"Aurora" her head snapped up, noticing a reflection in the mirror. "You think he really cares about you?" The image of herself asked. Aurora shook her head in denial. "He couldn't care less, you don't deserve anybody!" The girl snapped.

"This isn't real" she reminded herself, "this isn't real!" She shouted as she launched her fist up to the mirror, one again feeling that shattering feeling.

Aurora gasped as she sat up, her body felt exhausted, trying to regain control over herself again.

"Hey, hey, look at me" four said as he brushed a finger under the girls chin, bringing her eyes up to his. "You did amazing" he said reassuringly.

Aurora smiled, she knew.

"Well done Aurora, a menacing voice could be heard. Welcome to dauntless" Eric taunted. She rolled her eyes at the man's gesture, swinging her legs around to stand up, and reaching up towards four, embracing him in a hug. He wrapped his hands around the girl, holding her tightly.

After celebrating with her friends, they made their way down the cold hallways towards the pit, where everyone was gathering. Aurora was excited to officially be apart of dauntless, she couldn't hide it. But as she entered the pit, she felt a mix of surprise and concern, as everyone around her marched around in a formation. Her only instinct was to find Tobias.

She searched around, looking for the boy, but was met with the one she was avoiding the most. "Hello petal" Eric said quietly, "here" he said as he held up a needle, "it's a tracker, new precautions here at dauntless".

Auroras brows furrowed, before she could move, she felt a pinch in her neck. Feeling the cold liquid run through her body.
