With Apollo,
"Will you explain what the Hades is going on Apollo?" Artemis asked her brother.
Apollo, however, didn't respond, simply shifting through ingredients on a table as he constantly mixed them into a cauldron. He kept muttering under his breath, ignoring anything Artemis tried to get his attention. The only reason she hadn't flashed away was because of the fact that Apollo was serious about this, whatever it was. She had to wait for him to talk before making a decision of her own.
It was only knowledge between the siblings, but when Apollo was serious, Artemis listened to him. It was simply because she knew that he was tapping into all his domains now, and it was something even she couldn't deny, that her brother was stronger than her when he was in this state.
"Apollo-?" She asked, but stopped, as a beeping sound echoed all around them. Her instincts kicked in, as the Goddess of the Hunt instantly shot down the source of the sound, being a speaker that was hovering over Apollo's head. Apollo sighed.
"By the Gods, I managed to do it on time." Apollo muttered, holding out a glass of golden liquid out to Artemis. "We made it just in time, now drink it."
"What is it?" Artemis asked as she took a sip. If there was a time crunch, she could drink and get her answers from him at the same time. "And why did we run away from the battlefield? We need to help the others-"
"They're all dead sis." Apollo said solemnly, taking a sip of his own. "That alarm was connected to the vitals of everyone who fought the battle. Once the last one died, the alarm rang. Perseus must have finished torturing Harry Potter by now."
"Why did you do this then, Apollo?" She asked. "We could have helped-"
"No, we couldn't have." Apollo answered her. "I tried looking for a future where we could win if we stayed. There just wasn't one. Even now, we're merely moments away from the timeline being rewritten. Finish your glass."
"What even is it?" Artemis questioned again.
"It's something I cooked up to separate us from the timeline." Apollo said. Artemis' eyes widened.
"What?!" She yelled in shock. "How did you even-?"
"The details aren't important, nor do I have the time to explain it to you." He said, and waited until Artemis finished her glass. "It should take a minute or two for this to kick in, so in the meantime let me explain what's going to happen now."
"What are you doing, brother?" Artemis asked. "Why didn't you give this to the other gods when we had the chance to?"
"Because it wasn't ready!" Apollo yelled out, causing Artemis to flinch. Apollo sighed. "Sorry, but what I was trying to say is that it needed the death of the gods so that I could take their ichor and complete it. It took me a long while to do it, especially without being noticed, but I did it. Now, the plan from here is-"
"What plan, Apollo?" His sister asked. "We've already lost. Everyone else is dead."
"The Olympians, yes. But there are 2 more people who can help us." Apollo said. "Once we are separated from the timeline, you and I will be comatose. We should wake up in some time after Perseus finishes rewriting the timeline, and I'll wake up first and find you. From there, we'll have our revenge."
"And what makes you think we'll succeed?" Artemis asked. "Perseus Jackson and his squad have already killed all of us, what makes you say they won't do it again?"
Apollo laughed.
"Oh Arty, that's the thing." Apollo's laughter turned deeper, as his booming voice echoed all across the cave they were in. Artemis shivered nervously. As the Goddess of the Hunt, she had seen many things that could scare someone. But, seeing Apollo like this, it scared her to the core.
