"What's taking you lot so long?" I laughed audibly, turning around to the boys and watching them struggle to climb up the entrance stone staircase, shaking my head in disbelief.

"You made us carry all your luggage..." Lorenzo sighed, harshly tugging on the handle of my suitcase and attempting to walk up the stairs.

I chuckled to myself; carefully taking my wand out of my jean pocket and waving it at the suitcases; watching as they came flying toward me with ease.
"I didn't say you had to carry them; magic exists you know." I smirked, rolling my eyes sarcastically, folding my arms and satisfactorily watching the looks on their face morph from struggle to annoyance.

"Yeah, yeah, whatever." Mattheo said, clapping and rubbing his hands together, "What the bloody hell was even in those things?"

I inhaled, throwing a bag over my shoulder, "Makeup, clothes, hair products, multiple different shirts, ties, snacks and textbooks."

Draco and Theo shared an eye roll, utterly confused to why I had brought all that stuff considering the fact we had frequent trips to Hogsmeade every week. (Which I was very much looking forward to).
I smiled as I thought back to the first time we visited in third year, remembering how we were  able to convince the bartender at the 'Hogs Head' to let us all enjoy a glass of beer despite us all being quite obviously underage.

"Looks like we missed the sorting" Blaise stated, strutting into the great hall "All the first years are sat down and foods already on the table."

"Thank Salazar!" I exclaimed, "The sorting is always so boring anyways."

"Second that." Mattheo yawned dramatically, throwing his arm around my shoulders. "Is that Pansy?"

I gasped loudly, internally screaming with excitement upon seeing a certain black haired girl sitting on the Slytherin table with Astoria and Daphne.

"Pansy!" I yelled, running down the Great Hall over to where she was sitting and embracing in a hug. "I missed you!"

"Madison!" Pansy laughed; clinging on tightly to my back, "God I was beginning to think you weren't coming!"

"Sorry.." I said, exasperated, "The boys were taking an awfully long time to get up the fucking steps and we almost missed the train."

Pansy laughed loudly, pulling away from the hug, "How was your summer?"

"It was good." I sighed, taking a seat on the table, "That's as good as it gets really, it's fairly boring in Malfoy manor."

Pansy nodded, "Especially when Draco is your brother. I cant imagine that's very fun."

"Hey!" Draco seethed from across the table with a mouth full of pudding, "I'm right here you know."

Pansy and I shared a laugh before finishing up dessert and heading to the common rooms, rolling my eyes at Mattheo, Draco and Lorenzo who seemed to be hexing some first and second years; making them have a pig tail sticking out of their robes.

"Pure-blood." I muttered to the giant wooden door, watching it gape open at my words before granting me full access to the Slytherin common rooms. Me and Pansy swiftly raced up the stairs and into our dormitories, throwing our bags and suitcases onto the wooden-plank floorboards.

I began to unpack my uniform, laying out my Slytherin tie, skirt and tights ready for the coming morning. I tiredly fell onto my mattress, staring at the ceiling and sighing with relief.

"So..." Pansy grinned, turning over on her bed to face me.

"So what?" I asked, turning to face her.

"What's the deal with you and the boys?" She smirked, resting her hand on her cheek. "Or should I be more specific?"

"Be more specific, please." I sighed.

"You and Mattheo..." Pansy grinned, "Or dare I say you and Lorenzo..."

"Ew no!" I laughed, grabbing a pillow and using it to cover my face. "First of all... Mattheo has an extremely complicated family dynamic, is just overall an asshole and can't seem to go a singular second without being overly sassy, and second of all... Lorenzo is funny and all but he's also my best friends brother that i've known since I was like what? 8?"

Pansy snickered, "Yeah, yeah, whatever. I know you like them."

I gasped dramatically, grabbing my pillow and launching it at Pansy, "I do not!"

"Keep telling yourself that." Pansy chuckled; turning to face the ceiling once again.

"They're all a bunch of jerks." I smiled, "I think i'd rather date you to be honest."

Me and Pansy broke out into laughter but stopping when other Slytherin girls wondered into the room, clearing shooting bullets with their eyes.

"Pansy?" I spoke, lowering the volume in my voice.

Pansy faced me again, "Mhm?"

"What lessons have we got tomorrow? I'm praying we're in the same classes."

"I have Defence against the dark arts first, potions and then... a free period."

"Thank Salzar!" I exclaimed, "Me too."

"We also have that quidditch match on Wednesday so we get the day off." Pansy added.

I threw my head in my hands, "Ugh, we're going to have to watch the game because Lorenzo, Theo and Blaise just joined the team."

Pansy sighed. "And there's that party after."

"A party doesn't sound too bad; I heard some new students recently transferred here, we might get to meet them."

"Yeah, assuming they're not all assholes." Pansy smirked.

"Good point."

There was a moment of brief silence, Not the awkward kind of silence though; it was more of a warm silence. It was comforting. The rainwater tapping on the stained glass windows and freshly lit fire cracking, It was Hogwarts, it was home.

"I'll see you in the morning Pansy." I whispered, showing her a small smile.

"Goodnight Mads" Pansy smirked, facing the ceiling and adjusting the covers to her chest.

"Goodnight." I whispered, feeling the warmth of the light suddenly switch to cold.
