I sat in our backyard alongside Yuichiro, coloring and folding up pieces of paper into paper airplanes. It was one of our favorite hobbies. Muichiro likes to do it, too, but he said that he had something else to do. I put the finishing touch on mine: my name.

As we got ready to have a contest to see which plane flew the longest, we were interrupted by a familiar high-pitched voice.

"What're you guys doing?"

I looked behind me and saw the black-haired boy with the heart hairclip walking up to us. He was accompanied by the other black-haired boy and the boy with the reddish hair. I pursed my lips. Their names... Hanakō, Taro, and Osano. Yes, that's it.

Yuichiro raised a brow.

"What the hell? How do you guys know where we live?" He asked.

"Me!" Mui said, popping up behind them.

"It's not like we wanted to come. He just kept pestering us," Osano huffed, crossing his arms.

"Really? Because I recall you being the most eager to-"

"Shut up!"

I paid them no mind, instead adjusting my airplane to make sure it was perfect.

"Ooh! That's really good,
Y/N-chan!" Hanakō said, coming up beside me.

"Oh... Um... Thanks?" I murmured, glancing at him for a moment before looking back at the plane.

"Can I make one, too?"

He didn't wait for my answer, instead going right for the paper that was beside me.

"You're making paper airplanes? That's so childish," Osano scoffed.

"Weren't you talking about how much you wanted to-" Taro started.

"Shut up!"

"Yelling is pretty childish," I pointed out, looking to see Hanakō's progress.

It looked like an airplane that got into such a horrible crash to where no passengers survived.

"You're horrible at this," I said, taking the unsalvageable paper, "Have you never made a paper airplane before."

I spent the next maybe half-hour helping Hanakō make a paper airplane. Muichiro joined us while Osano and Taro just watched from the side. Hanakō's airplane was... okay. Not bad, but definitely not good.

When it was finished, we had our contest. Muichiro won, with Yuichiro and I being close behind. Hanakō wasn't even close. That's okay, though. Tanjiro was bad at first, but he got the hang of it. Our airplanes went... somewhere. Far away from our home, carried away by the wind.

When they were out of sight, we stood and went back inside to where my mom was making lunch.

"Mui-kun is so nice! He invited us over for a sleepover!" Hanakō said.

Sleepover? Both Yuichiro and I shot Mui a harsh glare, to which he laughed nervously and shrugged his shoulders. It's going to be a long weekend...

Ayato stared lovingly at the pictures on his corkboard. Throughout the week, he managed to get so many pictures of his beloved N/N.

Something poked his back, causing him to jump. He looked back and saw a(n) F/C paper airplane on his floor. It must've gotten through the window.

He picked it up before noticing something on the right wing. 'Tokito Y/N.' His face flared up red. His beloved made this plane! He laughed and set it in the shrine that he got on Thursday to store all of the things he got from his beloved.

So far, he had a hair tie, a pencil, and an empty bag of chips. He set the paper airplane among them. At the very top of the collection was the best picture of her that he had.

He let out a breathy laugh, gently stroking the picture.

"You'll be mine soon, my N/N..." He murmured.

"Yes, father?" The young man asked, standing before the older man with a neutral expression.

The man looked at his son sternly.

"It's happening again," he said, "His son. He's become obsessed with one of the new students. Tokito Y/N. You know what this means, correct?"

"Yes, father."

"You are a Saikou. Don't fail me, Megamo."

"... Yes, father."

A/N: I may or may not have gotten the idea for this chapter from the new Demon Slayer episode 🤭
