Owner: Look, I didn't take your contract. When the money comes in, I'll pay you
( Warin also has a younger brother who is unwell, and due to the family's financial situation, Warin works all day. But the restaurant owner doesn't want to pay her.)
Warin : Sir, I've been requesting for my salary for the past month. Another month is about to end. Why don't you understand my situation? I'm asking for my hard-earned money, not begging.
Owner: (angrily) I don't have the money, and I won't pay you.
(Warin gets frustrated and grabs the owner's collar, and the owner calls security to escort her
out.)
Warin sits outside and starts crying. After some time, she composes herself, realizing that she has to find a new job. Otherwise, her mother will worry, and she can't let her mother know about their financial struggles. Warin decides to search for a new restaurant job. Warin starts heading home, and in the meantime, Somsak is leaving on his bike when he spots her.
Somsak: Hey, Warin, what are you doing here?
Warin : I came here to collect my salary.
Somsak: You work here too?
Warin : Yes, my family's financial situation isn't stable, so I work part-time here as well.
Somsak: Alright, so are you going home now?
Warin : Yes, I'm heading home.
Somsak: Okay, come on, I'll drop you home.
(Somsak drops Warin off at her home.)
{ Warin's Home }
( Night : 8:00 pm )
Warin : Somsak , come inside.
Somsak: No, Warin , I'll come another time. I'm running late, and I should leave now.
Warin : Alright, if you're in a hurry, next time for sure.
Somsak : Yes, I'll definitely come next time.
(Somsak he goes away on his bike and Warin goes inside her house)
Mrs. Aram: You've come back, dear. How was your day at college?
Warin : It was good, Mom.
Mrs. Aram: You must be tired, right?
Warin : Yes, Mom, I am. I'll freshen up.
Mrs. Aram: Sure, go freshen up. I'll prepare dinner, and then we can eat together.
Warin : Alright, Mom.
(They finish dinner, and Warin heads to her room. She can't sleep, so she looks out of the window.)
On the other hand, Siya can't sleep either and gazes out of her window. Her mind drifts to her childhood when her parents had an argument, and she,
A 5-year-old child, was lying in bed. Her parents' argument escalated, and a slight altercation occurred that woke Siya up. She saw her mother falling to the ground due to a shove from her father, and it shocked Siya
"She suddenly shouts 'Mom' loudly."
(Miss Daral heard her loudly voice and rushed upstairs. She found Siya sitting on the bed, looking terrified, with tears in her eyes.)
Miss Daral: (Miss Daral enters the room, turns on the lights, and sees Siya sitting on the bed, visibly distressed) What happened, dear? Are you okay? Here, have some water.
(Miss Daral offers Siya a glass of water, and she drinks it. Then, she sits beside Siya, comforting her and asking what's wrong.)
(Siya , while still sobbing, clings to Miss Daral's chest, and Miss Daral tries to calm her down.
After a while, when she's somewhat composed, Miss Daral asks her what happened.)
Miss Daral: Did you see that dream again?
(Siya murmurs, "Hmm.")
Miss Daral: It's okay, dear. It's not your fault. Let's try to talk to your father. Everything will be fine. Don't be afraid; I'm here with you.
Siya : (teary-eyed) I don't know, Miss Daral. That scene keeps replaying in my mind. When I close my eyes, that face comes in front of me. I wish I could do something, but I can't forget it.
Miss Daral: (comfortingly) There's no blame on you, Siya . You were very young at that time. Everything will be fine once you meet your father. You carry this anger within you, and until you forgive him, you won't be able to move on from your past.
Siya : (whispering) How can I forgive him, Miss Daral? He took my mother's life. What did my mother do wrong? She loved him, and in return, he gave her death.
Miss Daral: (understanding) Siya , you know that it was an accident, right?
Siya : (tearfully) It may be an accident for others, but for me, it feels like a deliberate act. I can't forgive him, never.
Miss Daral: (concerned) Your anger is not letting you break free from your past, Siya
Siya : (shaky voice) I wish, Miss Daral... (she pauses) I wish I could forgive him somehow.
Miss Daral: (reassuringly) It will take time, dear. You need to confront your father, and only then can you let go of your past.
Siya : (looking at her mother's photo) Mom, please show me the way. How do I forgive him? How do I let go? I can't forgive him.
(Siya holds the photo of her mother to her chest and continues crying )
