( 23 ) Reunion with Warin

Juhu: Siya you had been keeping quite a big secret from us, but I'm glad I found out today.

Karak: So, what will you do now?

Siya : Now, I'll use this skill. I mean, I'll audition and perform a dance.

Maggie: But what if you don't get selected? There are many students who want to participate. What if a Warin selects someone else?

Siya : I have complete confidence in myself. I'll dance so well that she'll be impressed and select me. And once I'm selected, I'll be the one performing.

Juhu: Do you have full faith in yourself?

Siya : Yes, I have complete faith.

King: But what if she's our enemy? What if she intentionally doesn't select you, or if another student does better than you?

Siya : She won't do that because she offered me a chance to perform Indian classical dance herself. But I rejected that offer in anger. How can she reject me , when she herself made the offer

Once I got selected... and I got the chance to perform in the finals, you'll see how I might make a mistake at the last moment or in between. That could cost our college the dance competition, and all our chances of winning would be gone.

Karak: You're really something, Siya

(Everyone laughs.)

[Theater - 12:00 PM ]

Warin: So, students, I hope you're all prepared for the auditions.

Students: Yes, ma'am.

Warin: I hope this time you all will give a great performance.

(First, one group and then two groups go for their performances.
Warin doesn't seem too impressed with their dances like before. She says that the Thai cultural dance from the first group needs improvement, and then she asks if there's any other group or specific person interested.)

Juhu steps forward and says,

Juhu: Ma'am, Siya wants to do a cultural dance.

Warin asks Siya : ..." Siya " is Juhu telling the truth? You want to do a cultural dance?

Siya : If Juhu said it, she must be right.

Warin : Alright, will you do Thai
cultural dance or another country's?

Siya: India's! ...Indian classical dance.

Warin : Well, that's good news... but you mentioned earlier that you don't know Indian classical dance, and you're not interested in it.

Siya : Do you want to take auditions or not?

Warin : Alright, go ahead and perform.

(Siya goes to perform. She takes out her ankle bells from her bag and puts them on. She starts playing Indian classical music and performs Indian classical dance in front of everyone.

As she dances, she begins to see her mother dancing before her eyes. This memory comes back because she used to perform dance with her mother in her childhood. She gets lost in the dance completely, and suddenly, she hears the applause, indicating her dance is complete, and she calms down.)

Warin : Well done! "Siya ". That was a really great dance. Why did you keep this talent hidden? This dance has increased our college's chances of winning.

(Siya doesn't respond and goes to open her ankle bells.)

Maggie: Wow, Siya , that was an amazing dance!
I felt like doing classical dance with you too.

Juhu: Yes, Siya , Maggie is right.

(Siya doesn't pay attention to their words. She's still lost in her memories of her mother. She goes to the restroom.)

Siya : I'll be back, guys.

Maggie: I'll come with you.

Siya : No, I want to go alone.

Maggie: Alright, go ahead.

( Siya goes to the restroom, and Juhu says, "Sometimes we just don't understand her." She suddenly quiets down.)

(In the restroom, Siya washes her face, and tears start flowing from her eyes. Just then, Warin enters the restroom. Seeing Warin, Siya wipes her tears and exits the restroom. Warin wonders what happened, feeling that Siya looked sad, but she doesn't think Siya would let anyone's words hurt her. She wonders why Siya was sad.)

Singhania University 
[ Classroom – 3:00 PM ] 

Juhu: Guys, let's meet in the evening at The Zenith Lounge. Siya, are you coming? 

Siya: Yes, I'll be there. 

Juhu: Perfect, see you all tonight. 

[ The Zenith Lounge ]
[Evening, 7:00 PM ] 

(The Zenith Lounge was one of the most popular spots in Bangkok. By day, it functioned like a restaurant where people came for lunch and casual meetings. By night, it transformed into a lively lounge filled with music, laughter, and drinks—a favorite hangout for Siya and her friends. 

What they didn’t know, however, was that Warin worked here. She had been quietly managing her shifts at The Zenith Lounge, serving customers and keeping a low profile. While Siya and her group looked forward to an evening of fun, destiny was preparing an unexpected encounter.)

(The group found a cozy corner table, the music humming softly in the background as neon lights cast a warm glow around them. Menus lay open in their hands.) 

Maggie : What should we order?

Siya : I'm not very hungry, so I'll just have a drink, guys.

Juhu: King, Kark, Maggie, what would you like to order?

(They all tell Juhu their orders, and she calls the waiter. Warin comes to take their order. When they see Warin, they are surprised and quite pleased.
Warin, however, doesn't seem to care much about their reaction; it's just her job.)

Juhu: guys .....Wasn't this the same teacher, Warin?

Siya : Yes, it's her.

Juhu: She works here too? How did we not know?

Maggie: Maybe she got a new job.

Siya : Yeah, that's possible.

Karak: This is good news for us, guys.
It'll be more fun to tease her now.

King: You're right, Karak.

Siya : So, let's enjoy her discomfort today.

( Siya calls the waiter again, which is Warin. Warin comes over ,and Siya intentionally insults Warin in front of everyone )

Siya : Hey, listen... guys, I'm confused.

Juhu: Why? What happened? Why are you confused?

Siya : Actually, I feel like I've seen this face before. She looks just like the teacher we had in our college, and she was quite arrogant.

Now, I'm confused about whether to call her a waiter or ma'am? Waiter or ma'am?
She looks exactly like her.

King: If she's a waiter, then call her a waiter. What else can you say?

(They all laugh, and Warin feels a bit hurt. She doesn't say anything and starts to leave. Siya calls out to her.)

Siya : Hey, you?

( Upon being called by Siya, Warin looks back )

Siya: I didn't call you to leave, did I?

Warin: But you weren't even ordering anything, all you were doing was talking nonsense.

Juhu: Hey, instead of apologizing, you're arguing with us.

Siya: (stopping Juhu and turning to Warin)

Fine, go ahead and write our order.
