Mrs Aram : (enters Warin's room and picks up a diary, starting to reminisce about her past)
[ Flashback: One year ago]
Here, we see Warin writing in her diary late at night, and Mrs. Aram passes by her room.
Mrs. Aram: Warin, haven't you slept yet?
Warin: No, Mom... I was just about to sleep. I thought I'd write this down first.
Mrs. Aram: Why are you doing this, dear?
Forget about her. She only hates you, and whether you live or die means nothing to her. Why do you keep writing about her?
Warin: No, Mom, it's just that I can't believe she could ever forget me. I've seen it in her eyes. She might have hatred, the kind that's often seen in the eyes of those who love deeply. It's a different kind of hatred, Mom, but it's also love.
Mrs. Aram: Do you really believe she'll come back to you, to your life?
Warin:  I have complete faith, Mom, that one day, the truth will be revealed to her. She'll forgive me, Mom. I don't want her to hate me forever. If she forgives me, I can find peace. I don't want anything else, Mom.
Mrs. Aram: (teary-eyed) All the sorrows of the world have been given to me, my child...
Warin: (hugging her mother) Mom, you also have a way of making me emotional.
Mrs. Aram: You shouldn't let yourself get emotional like this, Warin
Warin : No, Mom, it's just that... it's complicated. She gave me so much happiness, you wouldn't understand how it feels when I think of her.
Today, she's not with me, but whenever I see my daughter's smile, I feel like I've found her. She's not here with me, but when I see that smile, I never feel alone.
Mrs. Aram: But, Warin , that's not right, my dear...
It’s been more than 8 years since Siya left Thailand. Even until today, Siya has never tried to find out whether you are dead or alive. How have you been living? You tried countless times to meet her, but she rejected you over a single mistake. What kind of love was that, Warin? You tell me.
Warin : No, Mom, she's not a bad person. I know her well, and it's just the circumstances. She separated us, but she'll never forget me. I'm sure she's moved on with her life, and that's a good thing, right, Mom? Why ruin her future by being hung up on the past?
Mrs. Aram: I'm trying to tell you, Warin, that you're thinking wrong.
I was worried about your future, that's why I talked about marriage. I didn't want you to spend your whole life pining for her. Somsak was a good guy, he truly loved you. He knew about your feelings, that you'd never accept him wholeheartedly.
Warin : I know, Mom. You wanted what's best for me. But I was helpless too, Mom. Trapped by fate and by my own heart… so helpless that I could never make anyone else my own. Because I had already given myself to Siya. She wasn’t just my first love — she was the only love my soul ever knew, my first and my last.
Mrs. Aram: I do understand your feelings, my child… but sometimes in life, we cannot follow our heart. Sometimes, we must listen to our mind — not for ourselves, but for the people who love us, because they only wish to protect us. Today, after so many years, I finally understand the depth of your pain. What hasn’t changed in the past eight years will not suddenly change now. But let me say this: even if you never give your heart to anyone else, don’t waste your life dwelling on Siya. Your life is yours to live, not a shadow of the past.
Warin: Ummm.. alright  Mom… I’m feeling sleepy. I’ll go to bed now. It’s late for you too.
Mrs Aram : Warin, you’re doing it again. Every time I talk about you , you try to end the conversation. But fine… leave it. Go rest. I’ll also sleep. Anyway, you should sleep on time — the doctor told you to take proper rest.
Warin : Good night, Mom. (Suddenly, warin feels dizzy, stumbles, and falls to the ground.)
Mrs. Aram: (Panicking) Warin, what happened? Open your eyes!
(Warin pretends to be unconscious and doesn't respond.)
Mrs. Aram: (Frantically) dear ....Warin ! Wake up!
