Rose
Luna's drugs had been administered to her, and she was very much awake.
I asked one of the nurses to take her and Leo to the hospital playroom, the next room just after the paediatric ward she was in, while I and Tony remained in the ward. There were other recovering children in the playroom, and I provided toys for them, which helps them recovery fast.
"So...any ideas on Amy's whereabouts?". I asked Tony.
"Honestly, I have no idea. It's not even possible that she's in her parent's house".
"Well maybe she went to find someone who genuinely loves her". I suggested as I looked away from Tony's gaze.
"Meaning??". He asked me, his temper obviously rising.
"You were never going to put a ring on her finger Tony, what did you expect?"
"I cannot marry an uneducated person!". He said defensively.
"But you're the reason she's uneducated, aren't you?"
"Alright, that enough. I don't want to talk about Amy. Besides you don't know what really happened." He said as he frowned.
"Yeah yeah, whatever". I said as I rolled my eyes.
"So how are mom and dad doing? He asked concernly.
"They are doing great. Mom's business is flourishing, and dad's fine as well. He retired last month".
"Really?" Dad's retired?" He asked as his eyes widened. "My beast of a father has retired". He said and chuckled to himself.
"You're calling dad a beast? Wow, you're such a respectful son!". I said as I applauded him sarcastically.
"Well he is. He didn't show up at my convocation, that wasn't nice. He cut off all communication with me. And I haven't seen him since..., you know...?"
"That wasn't nice, I know that, but he's still your father". I said and touched his shoulder.
He looked so downcast, I felt for him."Umm, excuse me sir, your baby's diaper is soiled". One of the nurses said as she brought Leo to where we were.
"Oh God! What am I supposed to do?". Tony raised his voice and rubbed his temple. He looked clearly irritated.
"Could you please clean him up, and change his diaper? Check the storage closet for a fresh diaper". I instructed.
"Yes Ma..". She said with a frown on her face. She took Leo out of the ward and she was murmuring.
I looked at her and smirked. Although it's not really part of her job, I didn't have another option.
"How are you going to take care of your kids and work at the same time?" I asked
"I'll try, probably skip work for a few days, I would have figured things out by then. I have a court case on Wednesday. If I haven't figured out a way by then, I might give the case to another lawyer". He said, with a fake smile across his lips.
"What about a nanny?"
"No way I'm hiring a nanny!". He almost screamed. Stacy almost killed me remember?".
I laughed out so loud. "You still haven't gotten over that?"
"I never will. If mom didn't entered the dinning room that day, she would have fed me that rat poison". He said as he shivered.
"She taught it was cereal!". I said and laughed even harder. "Wait, so because of your childhood experience, you wouldn't get your kids a nanny?"
"No I wouldn't. I can't take such risks"
