A dance with blade
The soft glow of artificial lights bathed the bustling streets of the space station in a warm, welcoming hue. Despite the constant hum of activity, a sense of calmness enveloped you as you wandered through the market, your mind drifting back to the mysterious figure who had so captivated your thoughts lately.
Blade. The very name sent a shiver down your spine, a mix of fear and excitement. He was an enigma, a warrior with a haunted past and a presence that was impossible to ignore. You had encountered him by chance, but something about him drew you in, compelling you to understand the man behind the mask.
As you rounded a corner, your heart skipped a beat. There he was, standing amidst the crowd, his piercing eyes scanning the surroundings. His dark hair fell in loose strands around his face, and his expression was as stoic as ever. You couldn't help but smile, feeling a surge of warmth at the sight of him.
"Bladie!" you called out, waving to get his attention. His gaze snapped to you, and for a moment, a flicker of surprise crossed his features. Then, he made his way toward you, his movements fluid and purposeful.
"Y/n," he greeted, his voice low and even. "What brings you here?"You shrugged, trying to hide your excitement. "Just exploring. What about you? I didn't expect to see you here."
Blade's eyes softened slightly, and he glanced around before replying. "I had some business to attend to. But now that I've finished, I could use some company."
You grinned, your heart fluttering at his words. "Well, you're in luck. I'm free for the rest of the day."He offered you a rare, faint smile. "Then let's walk."
You fell into step beside him, the two of you moving through the throngs of people. The market was alive with the sounds of vendors calling out their wares, the chatter of customers, and the occasional laughter of children. It was a stark contrast to the quiet intensity that always seemed to surround Blade.
As you walked, you stole glances at him, trying to decipher the emotions hidden beneath his calm exterior. You had learned bits and pieces about his past—whispers of tragedy and loss that had shaped him into the person he was today. But there was still so much you didn't know, so much you wanted to uncover.
"Blade," you said softly, breaking the comfortable silence between you. "Can I ask you something?"
He turned his head slightly, regarding you with those penetrating eyes. "Go ahead.""Why do you always seem so... distant?" you asked, choosing your words carefully. "I mean, I get that you've been through a lot, but sometimes it feels like you're carrying the weight of the universe on your shoulders."
Blade was silent for a moment, his expression unreadable. Then he sighed, a sound filled with weariness. "It's not easy to explain," he admitted. "I've seen and done things that most people can't even imagine. It's hard to let go of the past when it haunts your every step."You reached out, your hand gently brushing against his. "You don't have to face it alone, you know. I'm here for you, Bladie."
