"WHAT THE FUCK are you guys doing here?"

I stressfully grabbed my hair backwards when I saw the humans who were continuously hitting my doorbell. I just came off my bed because I overslept since it's Sunday, and today's supposed to be my rest day, but it seems like today will not be my rest time anymore.

"Tinatanong pa ba 'yan?" Martiz, the man with headphones on, raised the bundle of ingredients he was holding. I sighed deeply. "Since it's your birthday... We'll be having a small party!"

"Yeah! Just like the old days, right Kalv?!" Aljace looked at the dentistry major standing beside him, holding a case of expensive alcohol. He has a piercing on his left ear.

"Yup!" he tapped my back, knowing the burden I'll be facing after this small party I'm not even aware of.

"Really? In my condominium, again?" I looked at them in disbelief. "I'll be having a lecture later."

"We'll be waiting for your lecture to finish then, before we can continue with the party! Ang mahalaga, mauumpisahan natin. Makikinig kami and we'll act like your attentive and energetic students na idolong-idolo ka!"

"That's right."

I have not allowed them yet to enter my condominium when they suddenly pushed me away. These unfortunate humans have never failed to disturb my peaceful and beautiful life.

"Ey! Let's start cooking, human beings!" They start making noises, again.

"You better keep my kitchen clean, human beings."

I initiated to help them from messing up with my kitchen--I mean... cooking. However, they refused. 'Birthday boy' daw kasi ako. That's how I found myself preparing for the drinks na lang while they were literally shouting at each other. How are they able to understand each other kung pare-parehas na nga silang hindi marunong mag-luto, full volume pa ang mga boses nila, sabay-sabay pa silang magsalita?

I still appreciate them though. They don't need to bother themselves just to celebrate my birthday--or to cook. But here they are, ginugulo pa rin ang buhay ko, knowing that I don't really celebrate my birthday. Aside from that, they are busy adults too, just like me.

"Tangina naman, Aljace! Anong ginagawa mo sa cake natin? Bakit may hawak ka na naman bang ruler at protractor? Isa pa, 'yang hawak mo, icing 'yan hindi palaman! Gago ka ba?!" Martiz' frustrated voice filled up my condo.

"Gago! Para saan pa ang diploma ko kung 'di ko gagamitin sa lahat ng oras? Huh? Isa pa, palaman din ang icing. Now you know. May natutunan ka na naman sa'kin, vruh. Want mo ba ng free seminar from me? Pumasok ka rin sa lecture ko kung gusto mong maging tama ang landas mo."

"The fuck! San ka nakakita ng icing na ginawang palaman? For decoration lang, gago!"

"Eh bakit kinakain kung pang decoration lang? Bobo mo talaga, vruh."
