A/n- I'M TRYING TO GET BACK ON TRACK I SWEAR I'VE JUST BEEN PACKED WITH REHEASALS. I will try and get as many as possible out but I have no clue how it's gonna play out. Anyways enjoy!

"God! You never agree with me!" Lafayette's voice rang through the room.

"I always agree with you! You're just being overly sensitive about this!" Hercules scoffed. Lafayette's head basically snapped to look back at him. Hercules' face goes from angry to guilty "Laf, I-

"Overly sensitive? Where we in the same room?" Lafayette exclaimed. "They told me to go back to France or hang myself." They said. Hercules took a step back.

"Lafayette, their my friends! Yeah, what the said was fucked up, but they never usually say anything like that." He tried to reason with his partner. Sure, Kurt and Ram weren't great people all the time but they were still his friends, that had to count for something, right?

"And I'm your partner! Doesn't that rank a little higher?" They asked, tears reforming in their eyes. Hercules sighed.

"I don't know! We've only been dating a few months, I've known them years, hun." He reached for Lafayette's hand, but they pulled away.

"You can't 'hun' your way out of this one! It's not that fucking simple!" They said, balling their hands into fist. "And I don't care if you've known them longer! They are hardly your real friends!" As they got angrier, Lafayette's accent was starting to get heavier. "You should hear half the shit they say about you behind your back! And it's not as if they're your only friends!"

"Well, what are you suggesting I do? Ditch them?" Hercules scoffed.

"That's exactly what I want! It won't kill your social life to cut off two people!" They yelled back.

"You're acting crazy! I know they didn't mean it, I can get them to apologize if that's really what you w-"

"Ditch them or dump me. Those are your options." Lafayette cut him off, their voice breaking slightly. "You have till the end of the day before I start packing." They said, tapping their foot on the ground. Hercules' mouth gaped open.

"Lafayette, please. It's not that serious. I can have them apologize! Please, just bear with me here." The Irish man tried. Lafayette shook their head.

"They wouldn't do it and if they did, they wouldn't mean it. They call you the f-slur right to your face, and you think they'll apologize for this? It's them or me." They said, walking into the bedroom they shared with Hercules. Hercules sighed. He decided to call a few of his better friends for drinks.

"Herc, you really fucked it up." John Laurens said as he sipped a pint of Sam Addams. Hercules sighed.

"I don't know what you're so upset about, John is right." Alexander Hamilton told him. "Lafayette is the one who got hurt in this whole ordeal, it's not your place to dictate his emotions." Hercules groaned.

"But they won't see my side of it!" He said. Alexander snorted and John gave him a look that said 'are you fucking serious right now?'

"Hercules, Maybe that's just because-" Alexander said, clearly trying to be civil about it but John, who decided to choose violence, cut him off.

"Because your side isn't worth hearing!" John snapped. "We have all told you multiple times that Kurt and Ram where bad news. And I mean all. Me and Alexander, The Schuyler sisters, Maria, hell! Even Jefferson asked why you were hanging around them. Lafayette just kept their mouth shut for the sake of your relationship. With the situation though, they really can't do that anymore."

"But why won't they let me just get Kurt and Ram to apologize?" Hercules asked, frowning. Alexander sighed.

"Because one apology isn't going to fix it or stop it from happening again." He said, trying to calm the situation. Hercules sighed.

"So I have to pick between my best friends since kindergarten and my partner?" He asked, glaring at them. John and Alexander exchanged glances.

"Well, yes." They said in unison.

"But-"

"Herc, if your having this much trouble deciding, maybe you should break up with Laf. Just be careful who you hurt." John said. Hercules sighed but nodded, downing the rest of his drink and looking at them.

"Yeah... I think I know what to do." He left and as he exited, he called Kurt's number, assuming Ram was also there. Kurt picked up after about 5 rings.

"Hercules! My man, wassup? You comin' out with us tonight?" Kurt laughed. Hercules sighed.

"Is Ram there?" He asked, trying to hide the annoyance in his voice.

"Yeah, why?" Kurt asked, still laughing.

"Put me on speaker, I have to talk to both of you." Kurt sighed and turned the phone on speaker, before Ram tuned in.

"Herc! You comin' out tonight? We're throwing a huge party and-"

"I'm not, and I won't be going to any of you parties or out with you guys at all ever again." Ram and Kurt laughed a little.

"The fuck does that mean?" Ram asked.

"It means that after the way you treated my partner, I'm not sticking around you guys anymore." Hercules said, much more stern than the rest of the conversation. "We aren't friends anymore." He didn't know Kurt and Ram physically or mentally reacted until they both started laughing.

"This is about that French dude? You're still with him?" Kurt snorted.

"Kurt, you know damn well that Lafayette's pronouns are they/them. You're literally just giving me more reasons to cut you guys out." He said, clearly annoyed. Kurt and Ram laughed again.

"So- so let me get this straight: Your going to dump friends you've had since 2nd fucking grade for some French fag you met and have been 'dating', what a week?" Ram tuned in. Hercules flinched at the words, and though he didn't see Ram's actions, he could hear the air quotes around the word "dating".

"6 months, actually, and I'm pretty sure that's longer than any relationship you've ever had has lasted." Hercules said, and before Kurt and Ram had a chance to say anything else, he hung up and blocked Kurt's number. "Now, for the important part." He mumbled, getting in his car and heading back to the apartment he and Lafayette shared.

"Lafayette? You still here hun?" Hercules said nervously as he walked in.  There was no response, but Hercules saw a half packed suitcase in the living room, which meant Lafayette hadn't left. Not yet, at least, but they had definitely been thinking about it.

Hercules looked at the half packed bag and the things that surrounded it. Mostly it was clothes, but it seemed like the main reason Lafayette had stopped was because of the hoodies Hercules had given them. Hercules sighed and sat down, thinking for a bit about what on Earth he could say. It had to be simple because Lafayette was in no mood for a big gesture. Simple and sweet. Eventually, he stood up and made his way to the hallway that led to the room they shared.

Hercules slowly opened the bedroom door to see Lafayette curled up on the bed in a tight ball, their headphones on and tear stains on their face. Hercules sighed, walked into the room, sat on the bed, and pulled the headphones off of Lafayette. Lafayette looked over at him quickly.

"Oh. Hi." They said. Hercules sighed and kissed his forehead.

"I'm not going anywhere. And I'm making sure those jackasses don't fuck with you again." He said, wrapping his arms around Lafayette and hugging him tight.

"P-Promise?" Lafayette asked nervously.

"Promise." He kissed Lafayette, who looked up at him when they broke away.

"Good." They smiled and kissed Hercules again. Hercules' grip tightened around them as Lafayette buried their head into his shoulder. Hercules felt at home, and that was better than anything his meathead friends could offer.
