A/n- Anyway, I know I'm shitty at updating but I'm trying I swear LMAO. this chapter is also stupidly short so sorry about that to, Enjoy though! (TW for the F-slur)
Peggy Schuyler was a wallflower unless she was around the right people. These people included John Laurens, Alexander Hamilton, her sisters, Lafayette, Hercules Mulligan, and Maria Reynolds. Maria, most of all. She could say or do anything around Maria and it wouldn't matter.
Maria on the other hand was the definition of a social butterfly. She was always going to parties, getting hit on, going on dates, and yet, Peggy was always her top priority. If they already had plans, no matter what Peggy said, Maria wouldn't even dare to think about going somewhere else. There where times were she would try and drag Peggy out, but if Peggy said no more than four or five times, Maria would agree and stop trying for the night.
Peggy never really thought her social circle would really ever develop more until she got to 12th grade, when she was asked out by one of the guys on the football team, Ram Sweeney. She hardly felt anything for the boy, but it felt good to be noticed like that. So, she said yes. Her first instinct was to text Maria.
Peg-asouras-rex: Heyyy you don't care much for your 6th period, right? :]
That bitch- Not at all lmafo. y?
Peg-asouras-rex: come to the bathroom on the 2nd floor, I've got tea!!!!
That bitch- ON MY FUCKING WAY
Maria walked into the girls bathroom on the second story in her usual red crop top, as well as a pair of ripped jeans, and a jean-jacket she had borrowed from Peggy a while back to cover up a tattoo Maria had gotten when she was drunk with one of her ex-boyfriends.
"Peggy, what stall are you in?" She called out.
"Gossip stall number 5." Peggy responded, her voice happy and excited. Must be something good, Maria thought, smirking as she walked in. Peggy was sitting crisscross on the top part of the toilet. Maria sat sideways on the closed seat with her back against the wall of the stall.
"Soooo, what'd you here?" Maria asked happily and curiously, shaking her best friend by the shoulder. Peggy laughed. God, Maria loved that laugh. She loved most things about Peggy, not just because she was her best friend, but also because of some other kinds of feelings she had for her.
"It's not what I heard." Peggy giggled. "It's what I lived." She grinned happily. Maria's eyes widened. This could go two ways: Peggy either got herself into massive trouble or something really great happened. Maria couldn't think of a single thing Peggy could have gotten herself into. Peggy was autistic, so she wasn't always great with social cues. That was the only thing Maria could possibly think could have gotten Peggy into shit. But, more than likely, something good academically or family wise was happening to her. Was this gossip level shit? No. Did Maria care? Nope. She just liked to hear Peggy talk.
"Well spill!" She said excitedly.
"Okay, so." Peggy took a deep breath, attempting to calm her excitement. "You know Ram Sweeney?" Peggy asked. "The linebacker on the football team?" Maria nodded.
"Yeah, he's the ass that dumped Cady Heron's lunch tray on her head a while back." Maria snickered. "What a dick. What about him?" She asked. Peggy tensed at Maria's rude remarks about Ram. Peggy really hadn't thought about any of the bad things he had done when she agreed.
Shit.
"W-well, uh-" Peggy bit her lip. Maria raised an eyebrow in curiosity. "He asked me out." Peggy said, fidgeting with her hair that was in a slicked back ponytail. Maria, who went to pull a vape out of her pocket, dropped in on the ground. Her eyes were wide, her mouth open, and her breathing hardly working.
