Your POV

"Joe, let me get another Dirty Shirley please." I wasn't sure how long I'd been at the bar before Jo walked in and sat next to me. She smiled at me and ordered some food and a soda.

"Gonna let me drink alone today Jo?" I pouted as I sipped my drink Joe placed in front of me. He gave me a side smile as he "casually" placed a glass of water next to me. I nodded at him with a wink and he just shook his head at me as he went to serve someone else.

"Unfortunately today I can't. I'm on call so no drinks for me but you can eat some of my fries if you want." I smiled at Jo as I agreed, grabbed a cue stick with my drink in my opposite hand, and attempted to play pool.

"Have you ever even played?" Jo giggled as she set up the balls. I was trying to chalk the cue but somehow kept missing. Maybe I had drank a lot. Jo helped me without saying anything. I was the first to break the balls, Jo told me to do it. Surprisingly I didn't miss, at least not the first time. We continued to play, and Jo beat me three times before I finally sat down. At least I think it was three times.

I couldn't exactly keep track. Jo walked me to the bar as I tried to order another drink. My tab was no doubt through the roof! I raised my finger to get Joe's attention and he quickly got out a glass.

"No more for you tonight Y/n." He handed me another glass of water which I sipped on only half paying attention to. A wave of sleep washed over me as I turned to face Jo a little, almost falling off me seat in the process.

"Jojo can...you...call my mommy please?" I stuttered as I placed my head on the bar. I didn't feel too good. There was no mistaking Jo's belly laugh though which only made me smile. The cold bar helped too.

"I can certainly call your mommy." I handed Jo my phone and waited for her to call my mom. I must've dozed off because before I knew it she was shaking me awake softly and there might have been drool on the bar.

"She'll be here soon. I just got paged so I have to run over to the hospital. I'd bring you with me, but I don't think you should be running right now." I nodded as I sat up in my chair feeling a little less drunk.

"I'll watch her," Joe gave Jo a nod as she left and I stood from the bar stool.

"Thanks, bye Y/n."

"Bye Jojo," I waved. She had already left the bar when I started waving but I couldn't tell the difference. When Joe wasn't looking I stumbled outside to an empty alley feeling the urge to puke. The cold air felt nice on my skin as I couldn't stop all the alcohol bubbling to the surface. It was not a pleasant feeling but emptying my stomach made the warm sensation disappear. Maybe I drank a little too much. My head felt a slightly clearer as I braced myself against the brick wall.

I suddenly felt my body being pushed against the wall and heard a gravely male voice behind me.

"Hey y/n." I felt a body press against me and immediately tried to push him off. I squirmed as his hands roamed my body. I tried to scream but nothing came out of my mouth as I was forced to face my attacker. He was the man who hurt Jo, her ex.

"L..leave me...a..lone." I stumbled through my words. I was still drunk and shaking like a leaf but my body wouldn't cooperate with me as he pinned me to the wall again. I felt my back scraping against the brick uncomfortably as I tried to kick and scratch to make him leave.
