She hurriedly ran down the branches Jake following behind her, "Father, Mother" she yelled urgently as Jake rushed towards them to speak

"Eytukan, I have something to say" Jake said with matching Ri'lanis' tone, "listen" Grace spoke as she stood next to Jake's side.

"Speak, Jakesully" Her father said nodding his head towards the man

"A great evil is upon us..The sky people are coming..to destroy hometree," he then turned his head towards Ri'lani, "Tell them they're gonna be here soon." To which she repeated to them in Navi

Eytukan looked at Mo'at worry in his eyes before Jake spoke up again, "You have to leave, or you're gonna die".

Mo'at stepped forward, "Are you certain of this?"

Jake paused for a moment before swallowing his guilt with a sigh he began, "They sent me here to learn your ways.. so one day I could bring this message and that you would believe it" Neytiri stepped forward behind her sister as a glare formed on her features, she knew Jake being different from the sky people would never happen

Ri'lani felt as if her heart broke as she put her hand on his shoulder, "Jake, what do you mean, you knew this would happen?" She said as her voice broke in the end

Seeing the look on her face broke him more as he silently nodded before speaking, "yes, look at first it was just orders and then everything changed, okay? I fell in love. I fell in love with the forest, the omatikaya, with you" he grabbed her shoulders with a smile as the girl began to break down silent tears coming out of her eyes.

Neytiri watching the scene rushed forward to defend her sister, she pushed him off of her and screamed, "she trusted you!" Ri'lani walked towards her mother who put her arms around her daughter, "You will never be one of the people!" Neytiri finished, though Jake's eyes were only on Ri'lanis tear soaked face he looked down defeated

"Bind them" Eytukan spoke his voiced laced with venom. Tsu'tey and the other young hunters grabbed Jake and Grace forcing them to their knees as Grace yelled out, "You have to go. They're coming!"

It didn't matter though as the clan let out war cries at the incoming threat.

The clan gathered to the front of hometree, bows in hand as they awaited the ongoing foe. Ri'lani stood next to where they had bounded Grace and Jake. She tried her hardest to not look over at him even though her heart, despite the betrayal, still yearned for him.

The sound of helicopters grew closer as the clan readied themselves Jake and Grace urgently called out to them, "Run to the forest! They're coming!"

"They will destroy this place!" Jake yelled

"Ri'lani, you must go now!" Grace said looking at the girl who let out a sigh her eyebrows furrowed in as she appeared deep in thought. She was pulled from her thoughts as a yip came from a spotter, her eyes widened in fear as she saw a fleet of air crafts emerging in the sky.

Tsu'tey turned his head to the clans as everyone watched the massive fleet of sky people form, "Have no fear!"

The largest ship hovered in front of the clan and Ri'lani made eye contact with one of the soldiers, his scar on his face was attention grabbing but what gave her chills was the sickening smirk he gave her

Jake yelled out again for them to run but non listened as Eytukan turned to Tsu'tey, "Take the ikran attack from above" Tsu'tey nodded calling a group of hunters to follow him

The clan watched in horror as the machine launched what appeared to be smoke bombs into the trees, Ri'lani watched with wide eyes as her father turned to her grabbing her shoulder pulling her attention to him, "Daughter you must help the people, Protect them Ri'lani"
