This chapter is more centered around Will and Jonathan. Also yes, I know that this story takes place in the 80s, but I have to include commentary using a song from now. It just feels right!

"Is that...why the lights are flickering?" Steve questions in a low tone. Now the group is all turning to Eleven who has a drop of blood rolling down from her nose.

"He's here," Eleven says.

Yes I look happy, happy all the time.

"Follow the light."

The flickering lamp suddenly died down and a chandelier above the group appeared.  It continues to flash for a few minutes, the group resting their eyes on it.  When it stops, Will gasps.  Everyone turns to him in shock since he is usually quite reserved and quiet.

But you don't see me, see me when I cry.

"I feel him..." Will says quietly.

Nancy clears her throat and steps forward.  "Guys, we need to kill him, but to do that we have to find a portal to the upside down."

I can't find an open door.

"But I closed them," Eleven mentions.

"Yes, but maybe to get into our world, this Vecna has a slightly murderous method," Nancy continues.

When I try, it breaks me more.

"Guys I don't think anyone will be going back to California any time soon," Nancy says shakily. "Steve, Max, Lucas, Dustin and Robin come with me, El, Mike, Jonathan and Will, stay here and try finding more about this guys past."

Each person around Nancy nods and heads separate ways.

Should I quit and should I go?

Mike and Eleven continue to explore the first floor while Will and Jonathan head upstairs. The pair come across a dusty room with two beds in it. A book shelf, a desk, and some drawings are scattered around. Jonathan goes to sit on the bed and in doing so it makes a creek noise.

Jonathan sighs deeply. His hair as matted as ever, dark circles under his eyes, and his bones practically trying to burst out of his skin. He hadn't been going to all of his meals back home, instead sitting in his room and studying for school, or getting high with a stoner he befriended from one of his classes. In the morning he would prepare breakfast and take Will and Eleven to school so he never had too much time to get ready.

Should I leave this all behind?

Will took a chair out from under the desk in a corner of the room. Many drawings were placed on it. Will looked through each photo intently, recognizing them because he had created portraits very similar to the ones he had just discovered.

Same things happen all the time.
Can't get out off my mind.

Before deciding to mention anything about the drawings Will turns the chair to his brother and inhales.

"Jonathan?" Will says softly.

Doing things I shouldn't do.

Jonathan rubs his eyes and perks his head up quickly.  "Yeah?"

If you ask me, I have no clue.

"I know the past few years have been rough, and mom hasn't really been spending too much time with you, but if you ever need to talk, you know you can tell me, right?" Will explains.

"Will, I'm fine, just tired, that's all..."

Yes I look happy, happy all the time
But you don't see me, see me when I cry.
