It was a breezy Saturday afternoon, and Aurelia lounged on her bed with a stack of magazines scattered around her. Violet sat cross-legged on the floor, scrolling through her phone, occasionally giggling at memes or tapping out messages to her friends.

Aurelia flipped through a fashion magazine, occasionally glancing over at Violet with a grin. "Hey, Vi, what's the latest gossip at school?"

Violet looked up, her eyes sparkling mischievously. "Oh, you know, the usual drama. Sarah and Ben broke up again, and now she's flirting with his best friend, Jake."

Aurelia laughed. "No way! That's so typical. And did you hear about Emma? Apparently, she's starting a rumor that Emily cheated on Adam "

Violet gasped dramatically. "No way! Emily would never do that. I bet it's just because Emma's ugly and Emily's hot"

"Obvi," Aurelia laughed , setting aside the magazine. "Teen drama is the best entertainment."

As they lounged in Aurelia's room, the conversation drifted to more personal topics. Violet glanced at her sister curiously. "So, what's up with you and Walker? You two seem really close lately."

Aurelia raised an eyebrow, her cheeks coloring slightly. "Oh, Walker? We're just friends We've known each other forever, you out of everyone should know that."

Violet grinned knowingly. "Uh-huh, sure. You're always together. I saw you both dancing in his room last week."

Aurelia chuckled, shaking her head. "How did you -."

" I was hanging with tanner " she smiled " but back to topic "

" I mean he just gets get you know "

"Uh-huh," Violet teased. "Is that why he's always commenting on your Instagram posts? And didn't he bring you flowers for your birthday and a necklace you know the one you always wear"

Aurelia rolled her eyes playfully. "Okay, maybe he's a little more than just a friend. But seriously, Violet, Walker's like a brother to me. We've grown up together."

" and anyways I don't always wear the necklace "

" ya what are you wearing right now " Violet nodded thoughtfully. "But hey it's  cool. He seems nice. And you two have known each other forever, so I guess it makes sense."

"Yeah," Aurelia agreed with a soft smile. "He's always been there for me, through everything."

They continued chatting, weaving in and out of gossip and deeper conversations about friendships and growing up. Aurelia shared stories about her adventures with Walker, from their childhood escapades to recent movie nights and spontaneous road trips.

"So, do you think you'll ever date him?" Violet asked curiously.

Aurelia paused, considering her answer. "I don't know, Vi. Walker's my best friend, and I love our friendship. I don't want to risk ruining that."

Violet nodded understandingly. "That makes sense. It's nice to have someone who knows you so well."

"Yeah," Aurelia said softly. "It really is."

As the afternoon turned into evening, they decided to order pizza for dinner and continue their sisterly bonding over their favorite TV show. They snuggled up together on Aurelia's bed, sharing laughs and snacks as they watched episode after episode.

As they curled up under blankets, Violet turned to Aurelia with a smile. "Thanks for hanging out with me today, Aurelia. I love spending time with you."

Aurelia hugged her sister tightly. "I love spending time with you too, Vi. You're the best."

As they drifted off to sleep later that night, wrapped in the warmth of their sisterly love, Aurelia couldn't help but feel grateful for moments like these – moments spent gossiping, laughing, and simply being together with her younger sister, Violet, who always knew how to brighten her day.
