The following weekend, Aurelia found herself walking over to Rosie's house. Rosie had always been like an older sister to her, someone she could turn to for advice and support.
As she knocked on the door, Aurelia hoped Rosie would have some wisdom to share about her confusing feelings for Walker.
Rosie opened the door with a warm smile. "Hey, Leelee ! Come on in."
Aurelia smiled back and stepped inside. "Thanks, cece I really need to talk to you about something."
Rosie led her to the cozy living room, where they both settled onto the couch. "What's on your mind?"
Aurelia took a deep breath, gathering her thoughts. "It's about Walker. We've been friends forever, but lately, I've been feeling... different. I think I might have feelings for him, but I'm not sure what to do."
Rosie listened attentively, nodding. "Wait ! Feelings ! Eeeeek ! I always knew - wait back to topic "
She cleared her throat " Feelings can be tricky, especially when it comes to close friends. What makes you think you might have feelings for him?"
Aurelia looked down at her hands, fidgeting with a loose thread on her sleeve. "It's the way he looks at me, the way he makes me feel. We've always been close, but lately, everything feels more intense. I can't stop thinking about him."
Rosie smiled gently. "It sounds like you're experiencing a shift in your relationship. It's natural for feelings to evolve over time, especially with someone you're so close to. How does Walker feel about you?"
Aurelia sighed. "I don't know. He's always been so caring and supportive, but I can't tell if he feels the same way. I'm scared to bring it up and ruin our friendship."
Rosie reached over and squeezed Aurelia's hand. "I understand your fear, fuck what am I saying girl he likes you it's so obvious!"
Aurelia grinned . "But but but , what if he doesn't feel the same way? What if it makes things awkward?"
Rosie leaned back, thinking for a moment. "If Walker truly cares about you, he'll understand and respect your feelings, even if he doesn't feel the same way. Honest communication is key in any relationship. And if he does feel the same way, then you'll have taken the first step towards something even more special."
Aurelia considered Rosie's words. "I guess you're right. It's just so hard to know what to do."
Rosie smiled reassuringly. "Trust your instincts. And remember, no matter what happens, you have people who care about you and will support you. Walker is one of those people."
