Maxxie

"I've got my second date with Lizzy tonight, we're going to the movies to watch this new film. That's my boy, it's got Adam Sandler in it so it's bound to be good, but I wanna take her out to dinner afterwards you know? Buy her something nice, take her to a sweet place and I was hoping you'd give me some options..."
Chester pleaded with Maxxie as he babbled on about his and Lizzy's date as the two walked to school with Sloane, Alex and Hugh.

"Uhh.. The Hungry Horse? Haven't been because it's wayyy out of my price range but I heard it's great. You should take her there"
Maxxie responded, trying not to sound as jealous as he felt, he knew it was bad to get jealous over a second date, it was bad to get jealous all together.. but Lizzy was taking his bestfriend away..

"Is it close to the theatre?"
Chester asked in which Maxxie gave a shrug as a response.
"Dont know, I don't go to the theatre, too expensive, so probably, all the rich people places are in the same area"
Maxxie scoffed as Chester nudged his arm.

"I'm not rich, I'm just working shifts at the library more and Loraine pays me double the price because she's old and doesn't know how to count"
Chester informed as Maxxie rolled his eyes.

"Ahh yes, the art of scamming old people. You know you always have the option to give back the extra cash"
Maxxie remarked as Chester snickered at the irony of Maxxies complaints.

"You're laying into me about stealing money? Dude every time we go into a shop you're stealing at least $20 worth of stuff. Also, I'm not stealing, she's willingly giving it to me. I see no problem"
The brunette proclaimed.
"Yeah well I steal for good reason, if I didn't i'd starve, you're just doing it so you can pay for some stupid girls dinner so you can get into her pants quicker"
Maxxie retaliated, the words coming out a little too aggressively as Chester gave him an upset look.

"First of all, she's not stupid. Second of all, I'm not trying to get into her pants and I'm offended you think that lowly of me"
Chester uttered, sounding genuinely offended.
Maxxie mentally cursed himself for coming across as rude, praying that it wouldn't mess up their friendship.
He just couldn't stand Chester talking about Lizzy, he got all flustered and it got more unbearable every time.

"I don't, I'm sorry"
Maxxie uttered, staring down at the sidewalk as an awkward silence filled the air, making it seem colder than it already was on the chilly October morning.

It stayed like that until they got to school, the other three trying to start up a conversation, anything to break the tension, yet it wouldn't work. Chester was stubborn, Maxxie couldn't blame him though. What he'd said was wrong.

As soon as they got to school Chester split from the group, going to find Marcel or Terry or whoever, Maxxie slammed his back into one of the lockers and rubbed his face.
"Dude what did you say?"
Hugh almost whispered as Maxxie huffed.

"Doesn't matter. Come on, we've got music"
Maxxie badgered as him and Hugh walked off, Alex went the other way to her French class.

Chester

"Hey man, where you been? Feel like I haven't seen you in forever"
Marcel smiled as Chester approached him, Terry and Leanna, Sloane right behind him.
