Maxxie
"Why do you need a sleeping bag?"
Mel asked as her brother and Sloane asked for one each.
"The overnight aquarium trip is tonight"
Maxxie informed as he packed more things into his small duffel bag before taking a large bite from Ezra's breakfast muffin.
"Shit that's tonight? Uhh.. cupboard under the stairs I think"
Mel replied as she continued to work around the kitchen, making breakfast for everyone in the house, which she didn't have to do yet did any way out of kindness.
The two teens headed to the cupboard, grabbing two sleeping bags and setting them aside with the rest of the things they'd need.
Both were dressed warm, in coats, gloves hats and scarves.
It was really starting to get cold out.
"Gotta go, can't be late. Love you"
Maxxie spoke in a hurried voice as him and Sloane grabbed their pillows, sleeping bags and other belongings.
"Have fun! Love you"
Mel called out as the two shut the door behind them on their way out.
Chester
"Have you got everything you need? Sleeping bag? Pillow?"
Dariya asked as Chester scoffed pancakes down his throat.
"Mhm"
Chester replied with his mouth full as Dariya looked through his bags to make sure he had everything.
"Okay. Be good tonight, I love you"
Dariya spoke as she kissed her little brother's forehead, who was still at the dining table eating.
"Love you"
Chester spoke with a mouth full of pancake.
Dariya waved the boy goodbye as he clumsily made his way to Marcels car, tripping over his bags as he struggled to wave back.
Maxxie
"So.. I know your birthdays coming up, and I have something awesome planned. Make sure you don't make any plans for the 18th. Okay?"
Maxxie informed as him and Chester found their places on the bus together.
Maxxie was more than happy that Lizzy wasn't coming, Chester had told him that Lizzy thought it was a waste of a Friday night and that they should be studying instead of watching sharks swim above them while they try to sleep. Maxxie had called her a buzzkill and assumed the only reason she actually didn't come was because she was secretly afraid of sharks.
"Awesome, I won't. What do you have planned?"
Chester asked as him and Maxxie took their seats at the back with the rest of the group, Leanna and Terry sat behind them, Marcel and Hugh on the other side of them and Alex and Sloane dat behind Marcel and Hugh.
"I'm not telling you. It's a surprise, dipshit"
Maxxie smiled proudly as Chester rolled his eyes.
"I have to wait so long though! Can't you just give me a hint?"
Chester nagged, though Maxxie wasn't giving in.
"No can do, buckaroo. Here you go"
Maxxie spoke, passing Chester one of his earphones.
Chester took it, giving up. The two boys shared headphones as 'Place Your Hands' by Reef played through the speakers as they set off to the aquarium.
Chester
Only 30 minutes into the bus trip and Maxxie had fallen asleep on Chester's shoulder, his arms crossed as he lightly snored. Chester didn't dare move, not wanting to wake the sleeping beauty.
