The momentary silence filling the room was heavy.

"What they did was awful," Elias comforted me with a hug. Though, I don't think the hug was for me. It was mainly for him but I didn't complain. The crisp, fresh linen scent filled my nose. Slight tremors escaped from him as he hesitantly asked, "Did they ever try anything with you? Are you..?"

"No, I'm fine." I shook my head. "I just.." my voice trailed off.

"Sleep," Elias said. "We've been out all day. You must be exhausted." When he finally pulled away, I saw his face soften and the relief in his blue eyes that came flooding after. A glance at him was all it took to understand.

"Okay," I snuggled deeper into my blanket. The familiar comfort made my toes curl."Thanks for all the gifts."
"Anytime," he said, his cerulean eyes now filled with love and adoration. The etches of concern gradually erased from his face.

I inhaled, "My room smells just like you." Inwardly, I was dying of laughter; this room was the same as I left it. My bubblegum pink sheets and the wide, bedazzled mirror that was mounted on my wall had the most of his touch. My most treasured photos of us were tucked into the creases of my mirror. A few mementos from our trips lay on my dresser neatly along with a mismatched pair of green socks. "You could have thrown all this stuff away or replaced it. But you didn't." I smiled like a dork. I could feel the heat flushing my cheeks. I blushed as the memories of the green socks replayed in my mind.

"Go to bed," he said again, his blue eyes drooping.
"You thought about me," I said unabashedly.
"Everyday," he ruffled my hair. "Now go to bed." He said, his voice low and husky.

"Goodnight, Ellie," I sung.
"Goodnight," he professed.

When I awoke, Elias' messy hair was laid against my cover and his arm was sprawled across my bed.

In the soft glow of dawn's embrace, I stirred beneath Elias's slumbering presence. As I moved, his messy hair brushed against my fingertips, sending a shiver of warmth down my spine. His arm lay heavy across my bed, a comforting weight that anchored me to the present.

With a gentle caress, I lifted his arm, careful not to disturb his peaceful slumber. As I did so, his eyes fluttered open, his cerulean orbs meeting mine with a flicker of recognition and amusement.

"Good morning, Ellie," I whispered with a proud smile, my voice laced with the remnants of sleep.

"Good morning," his morning voice was full of gruff.

"How did you sleep? Was it any good?" I asked.

"The best," he replied, his voice a low rumble that filled the room. It was followed by a yawn and a stretch. "The best I've had in a while actually," he revealed. "Breakfast, yeah?" He halfway asked.

"Always," I answered.

Together, we rose from my bed and made our way outside my door. I would've thought we would've departed for our morning routines, but Ellie followed me into my bathroom.

"Don't you use your own anymore?" I asked seriously while applying toothpaste to my toothbrush.

He shrugged, "Felt wrong to use mine when I was missing you so much." His words brought me a great comfort, so much so I could not contain the silly smile that crept onto my lips. He finished brushing his teeth and reached around me for a face towel. He glanced at me, "Are you going to stare at me forever or are we not eating?"

"Sorry," I said sheepishly. I berated myself inwardly for the heated thoughts that sprang into my mind. I stole a few glances at him, his bedhead and his beautiful eyes that sparkled in the morning light of the bathroom window.

I was last to arrive to the kitchen, only because I had been caught in my foolish thoughts.

Elias left first, leaving me all alone to my girlish yet childish thoughts. I stared at myself in the mirror. My brown curls had grown longer and the urge to cut it was overwhelming. Lost in many thoughts, green eyes stared back at me until I felt I had seen something in my own soul. I hurriedly brushed my hair and washed my face.

The aroma of freshly brewed coffee wafted through the air, tantalizing my senses. I poured one steaming cup, savoring the nutty fragrance that filled my nostrils. I fixed it for Ellie; he looked like he needed it. I settled upon my usual orange juice.

As we sat down at the table, Elias reached out and took my hand in his. His warm touch sent a surge of electricity through my body. His eyes held mine, their depths promising a day filled with safe fun. "we can tell the pack and they'll still welcome you."

"If you're sure," I shrugged.

I took a sip of my orange juice, the sweet tangy liquid warming me from the inside out. The rich flavor danced on my tongue, awakening my taste buds and preparing me for the day ahead.

Across the table, Elias watched me with an expression of adoration. His gaze lingered on me, my face specifically. I felt a blush creep across my cheeks as I met his ardent stare.

"You're beautiful," he said, his voice barely a whisper.

I smiled, the warmth of his words melting away any lingering sleepiness.

"Thank you," I replied, "but you should really brush your hair," my voice teasing.

"Eh, I was actually going to trim it today," he chewed on his waffle.

We finished our coffee in companionable silence, savoring the quiet moment together. As I stood up to clear the table, Elias pulled me towards him, his hot lips meeting my forehead in a sweet and lingering kiss.

"No fever," he pulled away. "Are you having any doubts? Any cravings?" He asked.
"If I say yes, will it disappoint you?" I gazed at him.
"Not at all," he shook his head. He gave me a small smile before reaching for a small butter knife. He was surprisingly cool about all this. I watched the red liquid seep from the cut on his wrist. my heartbeat paced as my teeth throbbed. He held out his wrist to me, "Do your worst," he professed with a smile.

His taste was all I had dreamed of and more. His blood danced around my tongue, exploring every crevice of my mouth with a sensual precision that sent shivers down my body. I could feel my knees weaken as his wrist parted from my mouth, leaving me breathless and aching for more. He was so sweet. So delectable. Too good for words. And I wanted more.
"I shouldn't be greedy, right?" I asked, my eyes still lingering on his tiny fresh wound.
"Exactly," he winked. "You'll get more later. I promise."

I pouted, "Okay."
