The next morning, after we ate breakfast, I followed behind Elias to the packhouse. Today, they were rebuilding and cleaning the debris.

As the sun rose on a new day, I followed behind Elias, my heart heavy with the events of the previous night. The packhouse, once a place of warmth and comfort, now lay in ruins. The attack from the rival pack had left us all shaken and vulnerable. But as I walked towards the packhouse, I could see a glimmer of hope in the form of my packmates, working tirelessly to rebuild and clean the debris.

Elias had wasted no time in rallying us together and getting to work. He was a strong and determined leader, and his presence gave us all a sense of security. As we entered the packhouse, the smell of smoke and destruction filled my nostrils, but I pushed through, determined to do my part in the rebuilding process.

The sight that greeted me was both heartbreaking and inspiring. The once beautiful and well-kept packhouse was now a mess of broken furniture, shattered windows, and charred walls. But amidst the chaos, I could see my packmates working together, some clearing the debris, others repairing the walls, and some tending to the injured.

I made my way through the packhouse, trying to find a task to help with. That's when I saw Liam, one of our strongest and most skilled pack members. He swiftly gave me a task, and I eagerly got to work. As I helped clear the debris, I couldn't help but think about the events of the previous night.

The attack had been unexpected, and we were caught off guard. Our pack had always been peaceful, and we never imagined that our rivals would stoop so low as to attack us. But as I looked around at my packmates, I realized that this tragedy had brought us closer together. We were no longer just a pack; we were a family, and we would do whatever it takes to protect each other.

As the day went on, more and more pack members arrived to help with the rebuilding process. Some brought food and water, while others brought tools and supplies. It was heartwarming to see everyone come together and work towards a common goal.

As the sun began to set, the packhouse was starting to take shape again. The walls were being repaired, and the debris was cleared. We had a long way to go, but we were making progress. I couldn't help but feel a sense of pride and accomplishment as I looked around at what we had achieved in just one day.

As we sat down for dinner that evening, exhausted but satisfied, Elias addressed the pack. He thanked everyone for their hard work and dedication, and reminded us that we were stronger together. He also assured us that we would come back from this stronger and more united than ever before.

"Words spoken like a true alpha," I heard Liam mutter to himself. It was cute to see Liam admiring Ellie. Elias dismissed us for a break.

Liam gave me another task, "Help me before we eat.?"

"Sure," I said.

I helped him carry piles of wood to the back of the packhouse. "Is that all?"

"Yeah," he dusted his hands. We went and found ourselves in a heavy discussion again. "I missed you."

"I missed you too."

"I still think about you magically summoning me after all these years. And the first day I met you," Liam reminisced.

"What a time," I sighed. As we moved up in the line, my stomach couldn't resist growling.

"We're almost there," Liam teased.
"Shut it," I muttered. I was happy to go back to my seat and stuff my face with steak.

"Will you find me more cheesecake?" I asked, looking up from my plate when I finished.

"Damn," Liam cursed. "Want my half too?"
"Really?" I perked up.
"Here," he shoved his plate in my hand. "Be right back."

When Liam came back, i had finished his plate too.
"Three whole beautiful slices of cheesecake for you," Liam playfully bowed.

"Enjoy your meal. I'm going to go eat my steak over there so I can actually get the chance to eat it."

"Screw you," I shot at him.
He stuck his tongue out, "Yuck," before running off.

Halfway finished with my third slice, the breeze snaked through my hair. It was a wonderful feeling and it ignited something in me. My feet traveled on their own into the woods.

This brings back memories.

"Evern," I called out shakily. No answer, no rustle in the trees. I was feeling displeased. I felt so powerless. Even now, my wolf was hurting. I may as well have been human.

"Feeling down?" I heard a voice out of nowhere.

I dried the tears from my face. "It's you," I sniffed.
"Who else were you expecting?" She raised a brow."Tell me."

"Evie," I answered.
"Well I'm sure I can be just as much of help as she would be. We don't want her to stress too much, do we?" Aurora smiled.

"You're right," I thought Evie and Matt.
"Tell me what's wrong."

I collapsed to the ground, "I'm just so frustrated. I'm tired of being so weak and tired and helpless and so.. powerless. I feel like everything has been taken away from me. I don't know who to be, what to do, how to be me."

"You think power makes you, you?" Aurora roared with laughter. "My dear, you make the power."

"I'm not making anything," I whined.
"You're thinking too much. Stop thinking and start feeling."

"That's all I do is feel! I just want my power back," I cried.

"I don't think power is what you need," Aurora spoke with a hidden meaning. "I think what you need is time."

"I don't have time; if I had power I could fix everything. Make everything normal."

"Maybe that's the problem," Aurora said. "You're not ready for power."

"I am!"

"You're not," she shook her head. She dwindled down from the tree, magically levitating in the air until she reached me. "Beautiful girl, you have all the power you'll ever need. Right here." She kneeled to the ground and pressed her finger to my heart. "Power comes from within. No one can take it from you. It's yours."

"But he did. He took it."
"That's just what you think," Aurora sighed, "Stop thinking and feel!"

"I am feeling!"

"No you're clouded with anger and you're frustrated. What was the first thing Evern taught you? Clear your mind, look at what's inside!" Aurora placed her hands on my shoulders.

I cleared my mind, following her lead and letting myself feel. I felt my spirit join the nature just as it used to. It felt so warm and welcoming.

Just as the happiness began to settle in, I felt sharp pains in my head, my teeth, throat and legs. "Ahhh!" I screamed holding my head.

"My goodness!" Aurora panicked. She muttered something under her breath but I couldn't quite make it out.
