Kiyoshi looked at the cut on his hand in frustration. It wasn't healing, no matter how much he tried. He closed his eyes and meditated, trying to search for another quirk, but it was all futile.

Maybe she was a crazy liar.

But then he also knew Makoto could make dead bodies with his quirk, and that's the only reason why he tried... and tried... and failed.

He gave up and put his hair in a ponytail, sighing in defeat. He would have to wait for Shizuka and Makoto to get back from their clean-up honeymoon in another city. For now, he was given orders not to interact with her in any way. And he did not dare try to go against the order.

She lay on the floor, body cold as ice. How long had it been since she last opened her mouth to speak to someone? She remembered someone coming and lighting a fire, but she was drifting in and out of sleep at that time. They'd stopped giving her food to make her give in and join them. Someone who wasn't Shizuka, Daisuke or Makoto had stopped by to give her a bottle of water. They did not want her dead, just broken.

Yoshiko wrapped the blanket tighter around her chattering body and buried her head in her knees. They could try to break her all they wanted. She'd rather die of starvation and dehydration than join them. She glanced up at the dying embers of the fire, nose still behind the blanket. She wondered how many days had passed since she came here. With no idea of the time and outside contact, she was slowly going insane in this hellhole of a bedroom.

She heard the door click, and her eyes darted towards it to see the man from earlier. He came in with a water bottle and a few slices of bread. She assumed he was another person working for The Quirk Elites. Now that she was awake, she could make out his features. He seemed to be quite young, hardly twenty. He set the tray down in front of her and smirked, "Hey, pretty. You're finally awake, huh? You were sleeping like a log when I came earlier."

Her upper lip twitched, and she ran her eyes up and down him, stopping on his belt where she saw the keys hanging. If they kept sending him in, it meant they were probably operating in other cities for the time being. She was disgusted he came in when she was asleep, but with the keys in front of her eyes, she was ready to put up with him.

"Thank you, you're so kind." She smiled sweetly, the one she knew that made guys swoon.

His voice cracked, and he cleared his throat, "Yeah, you want somethin' else?"

"Care to sit with me? I haven't talked to anyone in so long." She batted her eyelashes. I'm so sorry, Katsuki. I really need to leave this place.

"I dunno. The boss might get mad..." He glanced at the locked door and then looked down at her again. Something about her silver eyes glowing like moons in the barely lit room made his heart soar. Damn, she's cute, "Fine, just for a bit."

"You're so sweet. So much nicer compared to these guys." She finished with a sigh and unsealed the water bottle before taking a sip. She broke off a piece of bread, putting some food in her system as she subtly eyed the keys. He spoke again, and that's when she properly looked at him. He had a boyish face with deep blue eyes, almost black, due to the lighting. He shyly pushed his hair back, "So, are you a new member?"

"No," she replied, "they're convincing me to join them."

"Oh," He almost sounded disappointed, "Y'should join us."
