You walked to the counter with your goodies while Jesica debated on a Pepsi or Dr Pepper.

"Hello ma'am" you say to the older woman at the counter

" well hello there , aren't you a pretty girl"she said with a genuine smile

" aw well thank you" you smile and pay for your things Jesica soon comes over with her drink she decided Dr Pepper was the way to go today "(y/n) are you ready to go" she says after paying for her drink without even acknowledging the women , rude I thought. " uh yeah but should we grab something for the boys?"
" boys!?" She yelled "come get something because we are leaving"
The boys hurried into the small shop and both just grabbed a bag of chips with energy drink to wash it down
"Damn this place is a dump" Alex says as they pay for their stuff and leave Jasper touches your back with his hand as he passes and smiles. Jesica soon follows them clinging onto Alex "(y/n) you coming" she asked " yeah in a minute" you call back looking towards the women " I apologize for their behaviour they are nice people I promise it's just been a long day is all" you say feeling bad for the women it seemed she didn't get to many people around here and finally some people come but they are asses.
"Oh it's all right, so your name is (y/n)?" she says gently smiling at you " yes" you smile at her
"your not like em are ya"
" what do you mean?"
" your a nice girl a good person"
" oh haha thank you , and they are good people when you get to know them, but anyway I have to go thank you for everything ma'am"
" please call me Luda mae"
" oki bye Luda mae" you say running back to the truck hopping into the back.
"see you soon...(y/n)"

Once you guys start driving again Alex lights up a cigarette and passes it around until it reaches you " on I'm good" you say as jasper holds it out to you breathing out the smoke he just inhaled "come on ( y/n) don't be such a prude" Alex says through the small window that separates you guys "bro if she doesn't want to she doesn't have to she did just turn 18" jasper says he was 20 in September and the oldest of all of us so he always treated you like the kid of the group since you were 18 and Jesica and Alex were Both 19. You hated when he " babied" you so you took the cig from him taking a deep drag off it which in turn made you break out into a coughing fit.
"Easy dose it" he says taking it out of your hands hitting it again than passing it to Jesica thought the window
You looked at him with glassy eyes from all the coughing, he chuckles a little handing you your drink, you sip it slowly wishing you could disappear after humiliating yourself.

Just as you were thinking of a way to distract from that "display" a hitchhiker makes Alex stop the truck to talk to the guy, he looked absolutely strange medium brown hair ,skinnier frame and a crazy look in his eyes.

"Well we don't really have any room in here but your welcome to hop in the back if you want" Alex said and motioned for the guy to hop in the boot
He didn't need much convincing as he climbed in and sat... yup right next to you, you moved over a bit giving him some room.

" hello" You say cautiously extending  your hand he grabs it shaking it rapidly causing a laugh to excape your throat
After he lets go he reaches for jaspers hand he pulls away slowly touching it into his pocket.
"Not a people person ok" he says jumbling his words up a bit
His erratic behaviour made you chuckle
" so what do you do for work" you asked making conversation
"Family works at the butcher shop"
"Oh wow that's an interesting job and how do you like it?"
" a lot all the blood and guts and everything" his smile grew and he handed you a couple pictures you flicked through them seeing they were all pictures of the dead animals and butcher shop.
" oh wow" you say awkwardly handing them back because you were sure Jasper didn't wanna see them.
You take a sip of your drink and offer some to the hitchhiker because it didn't look like he had any thing to drink on him and god knows how long he was waiting for someone to come by in this ghost town. He takes it slowly sipping the liquid " thank ya kindly" he says still erratic maybe even more so you smile and look to you right seeing Jasper he looked pissed like someone ran over his puppy , you poke him in the side and smile he doesn't do anything. Damn well if he's gonna be silent I'll take to this guy at least it won't be boring you could count on that you think. Jasper knocks on the roof of the truck and seconds later Alex throws the pack of cigarettes through the window he opens the pack and lights one up i motion to the pack and than to the guy Jasper gets where I'm going with this and slowly shake his head "no"
You role your eyes grabbing the pack and lighter, you put the cig in your mouth and try to light it this time you wouldn't make a fool of yourself or .... So you thought the damn light was out of fluid "damn" you say clicking the empty lighter you laugh when you look back to the hitchhiker he's looking curiously at you " I don't suppose you got a light? " you say half jokingly
He than stumbles to his knees while shaking his head and passes you a lighter with what looks to be a mostly worn off girl in a bikini( you know the ones you can get at the gas station or strippers)
You thank him and light the end of the cigarette, after taking a puff you pass the lighter and cig towards the man he takes both, tucking the lighter away and takes the cig to his mouth puffing away.

When he hands It back to you and reaches into his pocket once again this time grabbing something that looks metallic? He pops it opens revealing a blade your eyes go wide and turn to Jasper who not paying attention( still trying to ignore you since you were " flirting" with this crazed man or so he thought) the hitchhiker takes the blade and runs it down his hand causing his hand to drop blood down his arm you grimace as he smiles he than grabs your arm causing you to gasp, he cuts your arm a little bit than puts his bloodied hand over the fresh wound mixing his blood with yours all the while staring into you (e/c) eyes your breathing gets quick along with your heart beat
" what the fuck" Jasper yells trying to swing at the crazy man. All of the commotion making Alex stomp on the break pedal, you, Jasper, and the man slide into the end of the box the man almost falls on you , after the car comes to a complete stop he jumps out and goes running into the woods. You stared at the spot he ran off in until Jasper grabbed your arm " damn what a fucking freak"

Alex and Jesica get out of the truck to see the damage
" Jesus (y/n) are you ok??!"
" y-yeah I'm fine" you say you were more confused that hurt, Alex grabbed the med kit from the glove box and handed it to Jasper. " shit, we didn't bring any alcohol or disinfectant we'll just have to wrap it and hope it doesn't get infected, you nod your head before he can wrap it you get out of the truck bed so you can stretch your legs when you hop down your foot kicks something under the truck that didn't feel like a rock or gravel, when you bend down to see what it was you find that guys lighter "huh sweet" you say slipping it into your pocket. You hop back onto the now opean truck boot finally allowing Jasper to to wrap your arm, you light another smoke up trying to seem "cool" you know it was stupid but you wanted your friends to treat you like an actual adult , even though you just had your birthday but by law you were an adult.
