That made your heart break, you put the note down and got closer he was still looking at the ground so you gently pull his face up to face you cradling his face in your hands.
"No, I just don't want to do anything until we can communicate better in some way~" you say trying to make your voice as soft and umm... seductive as possible.

"Tommy"
"(Y/n)"
"Dinner" Luda called from down stairs.

You smiled at him taking his hand in yours you walked him towards the kitchen it smelled like heaven. Nubbins had grabbed the skinned and chopped up rabbit for Luda to add to supper after you and Tommy left to his room.

"It smells amazing in here"
"thank you" Luda said in a warm voice
You helped her set the bowls and cutlery as Tommy brought the food and nubbins brought Monty. After everyone sat down Hoyt stood up thinking he was gonna say grace or rather another long speech you settled into your chair.

" I'll be the first to say I'm surprised (y/n) became family and not dinner, and that Tommy boy has finally got a girl so tank ya" he said getting up and bringing an old bottle of red wine to celebrate!
Huh I wouldn't have thought they would be the wine drinking people thought of them more of beer and moonshine drinkers. You smiled to your self at the thought, as Hoyt poured everyone a healthy glass of the red liquor, "all right dig in" Luda said as soon as she gave the green light the boys started shovelling food into their mouths besides Tommy he eat slowly and with small bites because of the mask.

You dug into the mashed potatoes first scooping some with gravy, it tasted amazing it had been a while since you actually enjoyed a home cooked meal ( not counting the "friend soup" you had when you first arrived)
Since Jesica's parents didn't cook much because they were always busy, so this was a nice change. Don't get me wrong bubbas breakfast he brought you the other day was good but this, this was amazing.
You decided to have some of the rabbit meat since you did provide it and it would be suspicious if you didn't ( in this fic you do eat meat just not usually meat you consider pets, like rabbit)
When you bit down onto the pice the juices filled your mouth "mhhmmm this is really delicious" you say as politely you can with meat still in your mouth ( hehe meat in your mouth, sorry I'll stop 😭🤣)

"Well it's thanks to you that we have that rabbit so thank you" she says
You smile and nod slipping more food into your mouth.

When dinner was finished you got up and cleared the dishes and helped pack up the meal, there was quite a bit left so Luda told you to put some in the freezer.

"Haha you guys have another freezer?"you ask.
" well when you have this many mouths to feed and only a few *cough* meals come by in a couple of months you gotta use every part of the, ya know....meal down to the bone. Than what we can't eat we freeze in case a meal doesn't come for a long while" she explained trying to not mention the word "people".

"Oh I guess that makes sense" you say opening the freezer to put in the leftover meat in, when you looked into the freezer you saw a human foot just.....chilling....... in there.
You instinctively dropped the leftovers just staring at the foot you couldn't move it was like you were the one frozen not the foot , your breathing got heavy the longer you stared.
"Are you alright?" Luda asked but you couldn't respond
Until you felt a hand on your back finally you were able to move you turned around to see Tommy there with a concerned look in his eyes.

You opened your mouth to speak
" i" was all you could get out.

Hoyt walked into the kitchen asking what the commotion was, when he saw the foot in the freezer.

"Ohh haha sorry bought that forgot it was in here" he said grabbing the foot and wiggling it a bit " we kept this part as a trophy since it was one of our more , amateur kills"

"We got almost a whole fAmily ThAt daY" nubbins said excitedly walking into the kitchen as-well.  " I'm surprised we still have it it's been over a year..

You heart sank... "w-wait a family?"you asked faintly

"Yup, mom, dad , and the young-ins." Luda said sadness filled her voice on the last part.

" huh what was the ma's name? I remember the dad yelling it as bubba got er" Hoyt asked out loud.

"WaSnt it (y/m/n) ?" Nubbins responded.

"Yeah that right " he said smiling

Your stomach dropped and you fell to your knees , grabbing your chest, your lungs constricted in your chest you gasped trying to get as much oxygen as you could possibly muster. Your breaths were fast and short not allowing as much oxygen into them.

Tommy quickly knelt beside his hands in the air not knowing whether to touch you or not.

"What's wrong with er?" Hoyt questioned

" you damned man you should of known not ta explain how you and her boyfriend murdered people! Now she's havin I think.. a panic attack?" Luda said ushering them away from you so you could have some room.
