You turn to go down the stairs picking your dress up as you descend.
With each step your heart beats faster
"It's going to be ok y/n"
You think to yourself
With one last deep breath you get the courage to face the family once again
"Who's ready for a wedding!" You half yell with as much excitement as you can muster
Ludas the first to cheer and clap, followed by nubbins and soon everyone is cheering and laughing
Ludas pulls you aside for a moment away from the others
"The reverend has just arrived to officiate, and iv heard through the grapevine that Tommy is ready"
She says giving you a knowing smile
"Are you ready y/n"
"As I'll ever be" you say back
Luda leads you to the back of the house to wait as everyone gets settled and ready.
"Hey! Hey y/N"
You hear a familiar voice whisper from behind you, you turn and are face to face with....
"Nubbins, what are you doing here aren't you supposed to be with the others?" You question concerns filling your mind
But your worry's are quickly gone as nubbins hands you your bouquet, the flowers are beautiful blues are purples with tiny star decorations tucked in between them.
"Oh thank you nubbins I almost forgot"
You smile and kiss him on the cheek
"I-I better get to my seat nOw" he says happily.
You take a few deep breaths, and fiddle with the flowers as you wait for the classic "here comes the bride" music to play, after what's felt like an eternity you hear soft music which sounds like it's coming from a piano, then you make out the song, it's your song, the song for a bride
You straighten up trying to stand tall and proud, who cares what they think this is your day and you won't let it be ruined.
You make out the notes and take one last breath, before pushing the door open, and begin to walk down the aisle.
Upon seeing you everyone stands up
The aisle is a long purple material with chairs on either side.
You look out towards the crowd of people, until you find Ludas warm face a smile is pressed on her lips as pride fills her eyes.
Then you see nubbins sitting next to his twin, he's holding something shinny once you get closer you see it's a camera
Your smile gets more confident the further you walk
You're about half way down the aisle when little Jedidiah runs in front of you lifting his arms towards you, his mother who is sitting in the third row looks shocked and is about to run after him when you decide to scoop him up one handed. The toddler laughs and smiles as you walk with him in your arm holding the flowers in your other.
When you're close enough you hand the babe to his mom with a smile , she nods as an embarrassed blush spreads on her face.
You're near the end now, and you finally catch sight of your husband to be. He's wearing a black suit , with a white under shirt, a stunning Texas belt buckle, and to top it off a dark purple pocket square to match your bouquet.
Your eyes land on his face now, his bare face? He's not wearing his usual mask though it does look like he's wearing some slight makeup to somewhat hide his scars, his hair is combed back and slicked with gel.
his piecing blue eyes land on e/c ones and his smile is ever present.
Your heart flutters at the sight of him waiting for you at the alter.
You hand your bouquet to one of your brides mates; which happens to be ludas friend's daughters. Tommy's groomsmen are vilmer and a few other men you can't remember the names of.
The officiant clears his throat before speaking
"You all may be seated"
With that everyone takes their respected seat
"Dearly beloved We are gathered here today in the presence of god, family, and friends, to witness the joyous union of these two souls y/n l/n, and Thomas Hewitt in holy matrimony
You hear someone in the crowd whistle and clap a few times before the reverend continues
"Now miss repeat after me, I y/n"
The officiant says
You follow as instructed "I y/n"
"Promise to cherish you always"
"promise to cherished,, you always"
"To honour and sustain you, in sickness and in health. In poverty and in wealth, and to be true to you in all things until death alone shall part us"
You repeat what he's said smiling so hard it feels as if your face will give out.
"Now Mr Hewitt repeat after me" he says
Your smile disappears as you realize Tommy won't be able to say his vows, you scan the crowd panic filling you until you once again land of Luda
She looks completely fine, calm even
She notices your panic and mouths the words "it's fine"
You put your trust in her and go back to looking at Tommy.
"I Thomas Hewitt promise to cherish you always" the reverend says
"I THomAs HewItt" he begins to say his voice low and horse the words sounding alien to you're ears
Shock fills you as you realize he's speaking, Tommy is speaking!!! Not only is he speaking but he's speaking for you so he can say his vows to you
The reverend continues and so does Tommy
"Alright now it's time for the rings" he says motioning for the little toddler who had ran to you just minutes before.
Jedidiah now carries a tiny blue pillow with two rings on it
He toddles over to the officiant guided this time by his mother.
"With this ring I y/n take you Thomas to be no other than yourself" you repeat after the reverend "loving what I know of you, and trusting what I do not yet know, I will respect your integrity and have faith in your abiding love for me, through all our years and in all that life may bring us" after you finish you slide the ring onto Tommy's finger
When it's Tommy's time his voice cracks and his tone goes all over the place but he's determined to say his own words to prove just how much he loves you
He slides the heirloom ring onto your finger
"If anyone has any reason these two should not marry speak now or forever hold your peace"
You hold your breath
