Two weeks later,
Remus, Peter, and Lily came to visit. "Cass!" Lily yelled as she hugged me. "It's been too long already" I said as James stood on the dock. "No hug for me Lily?" He asked sarcastically. "How could I be so silly?" She asked as she walked over to the dock and pushed him in. Much to her surprise she grabbed him last minute and pulled him into the water. "James!" She screamed as she broke the water's surface. "Looks like fun don't you agree Cass?" Sirius asked before picking me up and running over to the water and jumping in. We came to the surface and I smacked him. I laughed as Remus and Peter jumped in. I splashed Sirius before ultimately kissing him. These were the days I would remember. We played in the water a while before Euphemia called us for dinner. I went to my room and dried off. I was shocked by Sirius waiting outside my door. "Merlin's beard Black!" I said as I playfully smacked his chest. "Got you Malfoy" he said cheekily. "Piss off" I said jokingly as we walked downstairs. "Well if it isn't Mr and Mrs Black?" James joked. "I hope you don't take Lily's last name because James Evans is quite tragic" Sirius stated causing Lily to choke on her toast.
Euphemia lit up at the teasing. "I thought you said you two were just friends!" Euphemia squealed. "We are mum!" He shouted while giving Sirius a nasty look. "That's not what you said yesterday James" I said, deciding to have some fun. I received a dirtier look from Lily. "I assure you that there is nothing going on between me and James" Lily argued. "Whatever you say Lils" I teased. "When's the wedding again?" Remus interjected. We all broke out in laughter at the pestered look on their faces. We continued eating dinner before I showed Lily to my room since she would be bunking with me. "So how is it going with Sirius?" Lily asked as I chuckled. "Great honestly" I said as I flopped down on my bed and gazed at my ring. We hadn't told them yet. "Any news on the Potter front?" I asked her. "Actually I might give in" she said causing me to abruptly sit up. "Really?" I asked her. "Maybe he'll leave me alone that way" she joked. "You should give him a chance" I said as she laughed softly.
"When hell freezes over" she stated. "I'm serious. I mean he obviously had an interest in you otherwise he wouldn't be pining after you for this long" I said as she nodded. "He has matured since we first met. I still don't know about James being relationship worthy" she said as I nodded. "You'll never know unless you give him a chance" I said as she nodded. "I suppose you're right" she admitted. "I'm always right" I said as she smiled. We fell asleep not long after, though I awoke to a soft knock at the door. I opened it to reveal Sirius. "Midnight field trip?" He asked as I rolled my eyes and grabbed my shoes. He led me outside to a hill where we could see all the stars in the sky. We laid there and he pointed out all the constellations we could see. "That's Gaia, I always thought about naming my daughter that" he said as I smiled. "Gaia, that's a pretty name" I said as Sirius pointed out another constellation. We laid there until the sun rose. We were yelled at by Euphemia for leaving our beds empty without a note. It was deserved honestly.
We walked inside and got changed before eating breakfast. I sat in between Sirius and Remus while James tried to crowd Lily, much to her dismay. "Are you exited for this journey to be over?" Fleamont asked as I smiled and nodded. "I can't wait to join the fight!" James said as he stood up. "Probably for all the wrong reasons" Lily said as she rolled her eyes. "What better reason than to protect you" he blurted out before he could think about what he was saying. I swore I saw Lily blush at the comment. "We will also join the fight" I said as Sirius nodded. "Don't want to be the odd men out do we?" Remus said as he elbowed Peter. I watched Remus' face lose color as he looked at the calendar. I looked back at it too and noticed that the Potter's calendar had the lunar cycle on it. "Everything will be okay" I said as I placed my hand on Remus's. "We're here for you Moony" Sirius added.
