"Okay, that's enough, I know you are bloody hiding something from me and I want to know what!" Sirius shouted as I sighed. "Fine, you deserve to know." I said as I froze. "Come on, spit it out!" He said in anticipation. "It isn't that easy" I muttered. "Then let me help you" Sirius said as he grabbed my hand. He scowled noticing that my ring was missing. "Where is it?" He demanded. "It doesn't fit" I said as he softened. "Then we'll get it resized" he replied. "It will fit again eventually" I assured him. "What's going on Cass?" He asked me again. "I'm pregnant Sirius" I said as he smiled wildly before picking me up and spinning me around. He sat me down before kissing me. "When did you find out?" He asked as he placed his hands on my stomach. "A month ago" I answered calmly. "And you just now tell me!" He shouts. "I didn't know how to tell you! I thought you'd be upset!" I cried. "How could I be upset? It's a piece of me and a piece of you" Sirius said as he gently cupped my face in his hands.
"I am blessed to have you" Sirius said as he kissed me again before hugging me. We spent the rest of the day planning how to tell the others. We did eventually come up with a solid plan and went to the common room. "Isn't kind of weird that Remus won't be the youngest Marauder anymore?" I asked Sirius as Remus gave me a weird look. "What do you mean?" The boy asked in confusion. "You won't be the youngest Marauder anymore" I repeated. "Who's the youngest then?" James asked. He was also curious. "I don't know them yet. All I now is they'll be here by November" I said as I cradled my stomach. "No!" Lily squealed. "Yes! I'm pregnant!" I screamed as they congratulated us. "How far along?" Lily asked as she hugged me. "Madam Pomfrey believes I'm 4 months along. The baby just took longer to make its presence known" I said as Remus hugged me. "You'll make great parents!" Lily exclaimed. "Do you know the gender yet?" James asked as he hugged me and pecked my cheek. "I wanted to be surprised and Sirius agreed" I said as he nodded before placing his hand on my stomach.
"My child is in there" he said with pride as I smiled. "I'll be back" I said as I went to Professor McGonagall's office. I knocked on the door and she smiled when she looked up and saw me. "Mrs Black, do come in" she said as I nodded. I took a seat at her desk and fiddled nervously. "What do I owe the pleasure?" She asked as I gulped. "I wanted to let you know that I- Me and Mr Black are expecting our first child" I said as her face went white. "Yo-you aren't even done and in eleven years I will have another Sirius Black!" She shouted. "I thought you would show a bit more excitement" I said as I rubbed my stomach. I watched as she composed herself. "I am very happy for you Mrs Black. You will make a great mother" she said as I smiled. "I hope you are right" I said as I stood up and waddled out of her office. I know I will be. I planned to be a better mother than my mother ever was.
