"What kind of dress are you planning on?" Lily asked as we walked through Hogsmeade. "I don't know, nothing fancy" I said as Lily smiled. "Well if it isn't the boys" Mary said as she pointed to them enjoying Butterbeers at the three broomsticks. I waved at Sirius and he looked up and smiled before waving back. He said something to James, Peter, and Remus before slapping money on the table and walking out to us. "You didn't have to go" I said as Sirius brushed my comment off. "And miss spending time with my girl?" He chuckled. I smiled as he grabbed my hand and we walked together. "Want to get some sweets?" Sirius asked as he pointed to Honeydukes. "Sounds fun" I said as we made our way into the candy shop. I chose out some chocolate frogs and licorice wands. Sirius chose out Bertie Botts. We were both happy with our choices. After a busy day in Hogsmeade we decided to go back to the common room and enjoy our lot. We laughed and basked in each other's presence before everyone except me and Sirius went to bed. "You okay?" I asked him as I rubbed his shoulders.
"Just everything goin' on" Sirius said as he ran his hands through his hair. "I know the feeling" I said as I draped my arms on his shoulders and leaned in to kiss his cheek. "We'll get through it together" I said as he nodded. "I know we will" he said as I smiled. "I was finding the right moment to tell you that my Uncle Alphard died" he said causing my smile to melt. "I'm sorry, I know you were close" I said as I walked around and sat down next to him. "He left me a bloody fortune" Sirius revealed. "We could buy a house" he said as I nodded. "We don't need a fancy house or anything. All we need is each other. I have you and that is enough" I said as he nodded. "We are enough" he added before kissing me. I leaned my forehead against him and smiled. This was the life I wanted. "2 months till forever" he said as I nodded. "And then some" I said causing Sirius to laugh. "I'm guessing you guys decided the little tykes name then?" James joked. "Yeah, we are naming him after Snivellus" I retorted.
"No James Black?? I'm disappointed" James said in an exaggerated tone. "That wasn't even an option" I spat. "Ladies settle down" Lily said as she and Remus walked into the room. "Tell your boy toy that" Sirius stated. "He isn't..." her voice trailed off once she realized arguing was pointless. "Keep it up Black and you'll be down a maid of honor" she threatened. "He's sorry, forgive him Lils" I said in a fake pleading voice. "I guess I can forgive him...but only because you asked" she joked. "Can't believe by this time next year you'll be Mrs Black" Remus said as I laughed. "If you told me that 4 years ago I would have laughed" I stated. "I knew I would marry you the minute we met" Sirius boasted. "Did you now?" I said as he nodded. "I have loved you for the past 7 years" he stated. "Good" I said as I kissed him. "Get a room!" James yelled. "Maybe we will. Should we do it on James' bed?" I teased. "I think we should!" Sirius yelled as he grabbed my hand and we bolted towards the boys dormitory. I laughed the entire way there.
The next morning I woke up in Sirius's bed. I was lying on him with my head on Sirius' chest. I snuck in after the other boys went to bed. I was awakened by James yelling before he smacked Sirius with a pillow. I was annoyed and made my frustration known. "He isn't alone James" I grumbled as James made a surprised noise. "Sirius, you dirty dog" James teased. "I know right? It must be weird for your best mate to not only be sleeping with a woman but engaged when normally you can't even get Evans to say hello back" I said as I removed the covers and climbed out of bed so Sirius could get up. "Good one" James mocked. I gave Sirius a kiss before I left the dorm and went to get dressed. "Well it's about time the future Mrs Black makes an appearance" Lily teased. "I bet Potter would be glad to have you in his bed Lils" I said as she turned bright red. "I may be the future Mrs Black but I bet one day you'll be Mrs Potter." I argued. "In his dreams" Lily shot back. I smiled at her as we finished getting dressed and went to class.
